Dear Kiel Thank you for your feedback, we welcome all reviews and comments, as it gives us an opportunity to understand our guests’ expectations and our imperfections. Your highlighted concerns were investigated to determine the root cause, and measures have been put in place to mitigate them going forward. In the case of the insects, I would like to highlight that the Villa has an active and passive pest control program, the active is done at schedule intervals and the passive method was pointed out to your kind self (insect baits stations where the insect in question was pointed out). With the charm of the Samaan Grove location, being in a natural wet land area, it provides the beauty of its natural fauna & flora, which includes insects. The season being the rainy season also influences this, as such the pest control program has been reviewed and the frequency of both the active and passive controls have been stepped up. It is unfortunate that even with this, there are no 100% guarantees, and in addition insect sprays are provided, just in case. In relation to the BBQ Grill, the equipment was cleaned and tested before your arrival, and all guests are informed to communicate with Management if there are any Villa concerns, which are addressed immediately. This matter was only noted to our Housekeeper upon your check-out, as such the equipment was checked again by our maintenance technician and found to be in proper working condition, with it being noted that the Propane valve on the tank was partially opened, this valve is closed as a safety measure and needs to be fully opened for the proper supply of fuel to the burners. The refrigerator ice and water dispensers are functional, our management has taken the position and action of disconnecting it for several reasons from past experiences namely (flooding of the Villa due to improper use), in lieu of this, we have provided ice trays, an ice trough and a freezer to mitigate the removal of this feature, which gives all our guest the added benefit of additional freezer space.
