Ok stay but great communication
Publié le 2 nov. 2024 sur HomeAwayThe house overall was smaller than we thought but clean and cozy. The karaoke was a plus we had fun with it. The only problem we had was the grill not working and even with the property manager coming to change out the tank, the grill did not work and it was a bummer bc we bought so much meat to grill and the whole purpose of our trip was to grill and have fun so that kinda ruined our trip. Hussein responded very quickly but it did not solve our problem. We used the grill for 5 min and it sounded like the gas was leaking so we couldn’t grill the rest of the night. Overall, had the grill worked, we would’ve enjoyed the place more but because grilling was a big part of our trip, I don’t think I would stay here again

Nice getaway

Honeymoon

Delivered on all its promises
Publié le 19 août 2024 sur HomeAwayThe property was truly as listed. Near, clean and nicely set up. The host was thoughtful with the ensuring all the standard necessities were available.
AC worked very well! Kitchen had plenty of utensils and tools.
The hot tub was amazing! Very clean and new. Our group was 8 adults and a small dog and we were all very comfy.
Would definitely visit again and appreciate the host checking in to ensure we were all good
We saw deers and bears and really enjoyed the atmosphere overall

Needs improvements

If possible, I would have included photos with this review to highlight the issues we encountered upon arrival. Within the first few minutes, we noticed several concerning problems and contacted the host. There is a hole in the bathroom, and one of the rooms is locked without any explanation—raising concerns about the reason for the hole. The stairs are in poor condition and present a tripping hazard, with a loose handrail that adds to the risk. Additionally, the floors are uneven, and the back door does not fully close, leaving a gap at the bottom that allows smoke and bugs to enter the property. The washing machine has a noticeable moldy odor, and there is a lawnmower tractor obstructing half of the driveway.
While I could continue listing issues, my intention is not to disparage the host but to point out that the property management is not adequately maintaining the home.

Hello Jason. You were unreachable during your stay so I'm confused as to how you said you contacted the host during your stay. After every guest checks in, I message them a day after to check in to see how they're doing and I heard nothing back from you. As far as the hole in the bathroom, I don't know what hole you're mentioning so if you do have photos, please send it to me through the messaging inbox so I can have it addressed. The property has constant turnaround in the summer and the moment we have any downtime, we tackle all maintenance. As far as the locked closet you couldn't access, there is a reason for that. That is my cleaner's storage closet. If you've stayed in a short term rental before, you would know that this is common. Where else would we be able to store inventory? The tractor lawnmower was not in the driveway. It was on the side of the house where vehicles are not supposed to park. The washing machine I will ask my cleaner about and see what she says about that.
I will look into the issues brought up and bring it up to my team. Thank you for staying with us!

Amazing House

Unsafe

We definitely won't be going back and don't recommend anyone to rent until the owner corrects a dozen problems with this property. The owner expected us to interrupt our vacation plans while they sort out the numerous maintenance and safety issues with the shower,furniture and hot tub, to name a few. Hope he has good insurance.

Richard booked a stay for 8 nights with us. On the 6th day he said he was leaving the property because of "safety" issues. These issues he said were issues since the moment he walked in the property, yet decided to stay 6 days and then leave. Then proceeded to ask for a refund for the days he didn't stay and after I said no, he then threatened to leave a negative review if I didn't, so here we are. We went in right after Richard said he left, found no safety issues in the house whatsoever and have been renting and receiving 5 star ratings and happy guests on this platform and another one. It's unfortunate when a guest has to leave the property early for personal reasons and then expect the host to pay for that and suffer by receiving a negative review. This is no different than ordering a sandwich, eating 80% of it and then asking the business who charged you for the sandwich to refund you 20% of the sandwich since you didn't finish it. Very unfortunate

Nice little getaway. A little rough around the edges.
Publié le 28 janv. 2024 sur HomeAwayHouse was great. Location worked and house itself was great. I like the keypad check in so you didn’t need to worry about a key. I would say my biggest issues were the couch was very small and hard. It felt like a couch you use for staging a house, not one for actually sitting on. Also, the washer/dryer foamed up when I tried to use it and I couldn’t get the hot water to work in the first floor shower. The second floor shower worked fine though.
