The Serenity and Calm We Needed
Posted Sep. 16, 2024 on HomeAwayNick and Jill have a magnificent place to let you rest and relax in the beauty of nature.
We spent 6 nights and just didn't want to leave. Our pup, Quinn, thought the deer were dog buddies and was jealous to have to stay inside as we hand fed them apple slices.
We needed to contact Nick a few times and he was always gracious and quick to reply and extremely helpful and patient.
We highly recommend staying at their property. It was a joy and we look forward to returning as soon as possible!

Excellent property
Posted Aug. 29, 2024 on HomeAwayUpon arrival we we were welcomed by a very clean house with an amazing view of the lake. The property manager was quick to respond with any questions. The cleaning service they use is top notch! We plan on a return!

Family vacation

Great stay at a great location/house.
Posted May 22, 2024 on HomeAwayMy brother and I took our father away for his birthday and we had a great time. Nick and Jill were great and very responsive with any questions that we had. The house was great and we spent a lot of time enjoying the lake and exploring the surrounding area. Overall a very fun and relaxing week!

Camp Weekend
Posted Mar. 14, 2024 on HomeAwayThe check in process was BRUTAL, the property was nice, but not much privacy with neighbors 10’ away on both sides. My kids first comment upon entering was that the place smells like cigarettes. We left the next morning and drove home instead of completing the weekend.

Shawn, We are so surprised and disappointed by your review. We wish you would've let us know about any concerns you had. There is absolutely no smoking allowed in the house. The smell was probably because we have a real wood burning fireplace and not a gas fireplace. The houses are on a a quarter of an acre and about 40 ft. apart as our pictures and video show. We are in a gated community just like most of the other lake houses in the Poconos and guests need to check in at the welcome center to get a gate pass. I can't fathom how that could be termed "Brutal." Although it may be a bit inconvenient, it is only done once during your stay. You said the property was nice. We take great care in maintaining our property including having the same cleaning service for 16 years. We have many return guests and excellent reviews as you can see. We are truly sorry you had a bad experience and wish you luck with your next getaway. Sincerely, Nick and Jill

Cozy and Warm
Posted Feb. 22, 2024 on HomeAwayStayed here with family, place was warm and cozy. firewood was fully stocked and came in handily. Enough space for all of us. Description of home was very accurate, and homeowners were more than helpful to all our needs and responded very quickly to all our questions. I def will be staying here again!!

January Weekend
Posted Jan. 29, 2024 on HomeAwayHouse was a good size for two adults, a teenager and a small dog. Dog-friendly rentals can be hit or miss but this one was very clean and well maintained. We enjoyed looking out on the frozen lake sitting by the fire. Location of house is a bit of a drive from the gate to the community, but it was fine as we weren't going in and out very much and it was worth it for the quiet street and lakefront property.

Fall Getaway
Posted Oct. 16, 2023 on HomeAwayStarted out with a bump! Got there and there was no running water. Had to call owner and he had to call water company. So I had to wait for them to arrive and figure out the problem and of course could not use the bathroom. Took a bit but problem resolved. I have used VRBO 3 times now and each time there was a problem at the property. Last time got a cabin with a hot tub that didn't work. Owner said would get fixed but of course was not. Little things can really put a damper on a trip. Hopefully next time ALL will be good.

We're sorry you were without water for 45 minutes. We immediately called Penn American Water and they had a guy there in less than 45 minutes. He tapped some regulating valve and you were good to go. Also, you could use the toilets(2), but you would only get one flush until the water was fixed. Still not sure what someone else's hot tub not working has to do with our review.

Staying at a lake
Posted Sep. 1, 2023 on HomeAwayThis particular lake was quite unique because it was extremely shallow. It was perfect for young children who are just learning to swim. No motor boats are allowed or sailboats. The lake accommodates rowboats (with small electric motors), kayaks, paddle boards, canoes, paddle boats. Without the noise of motorboats, the lake is so peaceful and serene.

Ann, Thanks for taking the time to leave a review. We are glad you found the lake peaceful and serene. While it is shallow at the waters edge, the depth in the middle is about 30 feet. It is true that motorboats aren’t allowed. However sail boats are allowed.
