Honeymoon/Hiking
Publié le 25 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayOur stay was great! We enjoyed the locations proximity to town, but also just far enough that it did not impact the serenity of our outdoor experience. The housing itself was wonderful and everything was easy to use. The only update that would be needed would be to trim some of the taller grass around the outdoor spaces, making it easier to enjoy the patio and fireplaces outback.

Loved the Bears Den
Publié le 14 juin 2024 sur HomeAwayWe absolutely fell in love with the Bear's Den and felt right at home. The owners spared no expense and definitely have an eye for detail. It was very enjoyable for us to spend a few days celebrating our Anniversary in this secluded location, but still nearby to Tofte and Lake Superior. The views out the front door as we headed out for runs were superb and even had a great view of the Lake. Our hosts were extremely quick to respond and helped with any questions we had. Our favorite was the Sauna and attached garage. The Sauna is plenty big and warmed up quickly. They even had eucalyptus drops for the water to create a warm aroma while steaming! Driving into the attached garage was an unexpected convenience that we definitely appreciated even for the summer months. The patio out back was fun to grill out on and take in the peaceful ambiance of this location. And to top it off their was a washer and dryer on site we ended up using too. Wow!! Thank you for a wonderful stay! We will definitely be recommending and hope to come back again.

Clean, well cared for, scrupulously appointed

The sauna is awesome, easy to use and so well taken care of. We felt comfortable the whole time. Management was very communicative and helpful.

Great place for couples going to Lutsen!

The space was clean, the kitchen was very well stocked (with two different types of coffee makers and an electric tea kettle, which is a rarity) and the sauna was an absolute treat! The hosts were also great and reached out several times during our stay to make sure everything was good. I highly recommend the space for couples visiting the north shore. We will be back next year!

Tranquil time away
Publié le 30 sept. 2023 sur HomeAwayI had a lovely time staying at the cozy bear den. It's really close to nearby hiking trails, which cut-down travel time and left more time for relaxation. It rained most of the days I was there, so I unfortunately didn't get to use the firepit area. The layout is a little different (they made the most of the space!) so I spent extra time reading and lounging in bed. The sauna is perfection after a long day in the woods. Book this place if you're looking for relaxation in nature. I'll definitely be back!

Convenient location in Tofte
Publié le 9 sept. 2023 sur HomeAwayGarage studio apartment with the necessities. We were in the area to hike, so didn’t spend a lot of time there. First impression driving in wasn’t great as the property was overgrown and the exterior of the garage needs some TLC, but the inside was clean and functional.

Thank you . The property is next to miles of the national forest . The grass gets mowed weekly but back yard is the national forest . The apartment has amazing sauna inside , fully functional kitchen with all amenities, laundry, separate bedroom and living room with views of the forest and Lake Superior. The small patio offers fire pit and grill . We invite our guests to park in the garage which protects from snow or rain . We keep our prices affordable and offer luxury feel .

Comfortable and clean
Publié le 15 août 2023 sur HomeAwayWe enjoyed our stay. The beds were super comfortable (including the sofa bed), and the place was well laid out for two travelers to share. The sauna is a very nice touch. Location very convenient to both Grand Marais and Two Harbors, as well as hiking destinations.
