Extremely close to Otsuka JR station. Decent selection of food on the other side of the train tracks, one stop away from Ikebukuro. If you have stayed at an APA, it’s pretty much always the same, comfortable enough and has what you need.

Love this place! Staff is great. Room is clean. Train station is right across the street and there's several convenience stores to go to just a block away. Plenty of places to eat nearby, a Gym a few blocks away and there's a shopping mall across the street. The place isn't too busy and quiet at night. A train stop away from Sunshine City.

The Hotel overall was excellent. We were provided new towels every morning and the room was clean upon arrival. It’s in a great location to catch the Yamonote line.

Great hotel close to Otsuka Station, which was great to access the Yamanote line (JR lines). Although the rooms are small they are comfortable enough. The staff are friendly and very helpful. We used the baggage carrier service to get our baggage from Tokyo to Osaka which was great and highly recommended. The only negative thing I would say is that we wanted a late check out which they did accommodate but charged 2000 yen an hour which was double what the same hotel in Osaka charged 1000 for. Definitely recommend this hotel though.

Good hotel
Good hotel typical from the APA resorts, there is an onsen which makes it very relaxing after a day walking. There is also a breakfast option. The hotel is 5 min walk from Otsuka station. Please note that this is pretty much a residential neighbourhood, so there is little to see around. You will have to take te the Yamanote Line to get you to the main areas. However there a some good restaurants around.

This is a fantastic hotel for everyone looking to experience the Japanese culture. The staff was incredibly polite and helpful. Cleanliness was amazing, convenience, neighborhood, everything was great. Now for the standard american or other cultures, the rooms are way too tiny and this could be a problem but you need to understand you are visiting a different country where space is premium so, before complaining please understand this is the standard for Japan. The hotel really fullfilled my expectations and beyond. Great work!

I arrive in the winter time so they are supplying heat for the whole entire building but you cannot control for your own room. Only way to cool or not to be too dehydrated you have to open the window

Room was clean, but to be honest it was comically small for two people. I expected a smaller room, but this was a literal closet. Area was very nice, tons of walkable food options, safe and clean but if I return to the area I'd search for a slightly larger room.

This was our least favorite of the 5 hotels we stayed at while in Japan. Glad it was only for 3 nights. The double bed room we had was teeny, tiny and HOT. Unfortunately, the rooms were not individually regulated and the hotel had turned on the heat despite the temperature being 20 degrees outside. And you aren't allowed to crack the windows. So hot room and no AC... :( Most of the front staff were pleasant to deal with. The plus here is the location. Lots of restaurants and convenience stores close by and a 5 min walk from the train station. We didn't use the public onsen or eat at the restaurant in the hotel.

The APA Hotel is located in the area where I wanted to be and very convenient. It was easy for me to navigate myself from the Narita Airport to the APA Hotel. I liked the easy check-in process and enjoyed breakfast. The room is just enough space for myself to sleep.
