Personnel accueillant et avenant. À 2 minutes à pied d'une station de métro. Nous aimons Agora Place Asakusa.

Tout est parfait ! La chambre 206 est spacieuse avec 2 fenêtres et vue. Avec les bagages lourds, il faut sortir à Asakusa car pas d'ascenseur pour descendre au métro. L'hôtel est à 800m. Au quotidien, la station Tawaramachi est à 50 m.

Bad and frustrating checkout

Checkin fine. Room comfy. Bathroom tiny. We came late and had lots of luggage (6 pieces). We notified we would need a later checkout than 11am. Reception said no problem. Following day before 11, lady called saying checkout at 11 and longer will be surcharged. She declined to indicate why, just saying that surcharge starts in 10 minutes. We left room with our 6 pieces of luggage 15 minutes later, didn't find the cleaning lady as we left our room key inside. At checkout, lady asked for 1000Yen surcharge. I asked again why. She said their policy. On the keycard pamphlet (see photo attached) it says "Check-out time is 11am, if you intend to remain in your room after this time, please notify the front desk in advance", which we did the prior evening. No indication of surcharge. Manager came and indicated they can't write all the conditions on the pamphlet. On the contrary, hotel should have written that late checkout is subject to surcharge. He said they would add this in the future but now I have to pay. We spent 15 minutes arguing, especially I did notify in advance the evening before that with our 6 pieces of luggage we would need extra time to repack and therefore late checkout. Finally he said this time it's fine that I won't have to pay. I insisted that their conditions should be clearly written on the pamplet. I heard afterwards that same situation occurred with another customer who also refused to pay upon late checkout and that he would never return back to this hotel.

Bonne emplacement

Hôtel bien placé à proximité métro. Quartier calme. Des patères auraient été les bienvenues pour suspendre vêtements, car peu de place dans la chambre et salle de bain.
