The hotel is separated from main building and no reception counter nor receptionist. Always saw outside people get in without access card.

Nice and spacious room. Nice bath on the second floor. We could not shut out the lights from outside completely (by curtains), but we were able to sleep fine. Front desk workers were really nice.

Reservation for two in a room way too small, they don't replace the towels the next day apparently but you can get some at the lobby. The SPA is the good point of this hotel and around you can find hundred of various kind of restaurant. Two station are near by as well.

We stayed at a Superior Queen room on the main building, level 5. It was cozy for 2 adults and 2 kids. They changed the sitting bench to and extra bed. There was no closet or drawers to unpack clothes. There was one little table, about 3 square feet, for everything - tissue box, alarm clock, hot water maker. The bathroom was small but clean. Everything was made by Toto. The bathroom unit itself was made by Toto and the floor is elevated, so for a regular person, it can feel pretty tight. It is very convenient to the shopping areas, and the Okachimachi and Ueno Stations. There's a lot of small restaurants, but because they allpw for smoking, there are no minora allowed.

Overall we enjoyed our stay with several notes/exceptions: 1. There is no room for extra luggage. We booked a family room for three and there is just enough space for three carry-on bags squeezed into the space in the narrow hallway just below the hangars. Don't bother taking anything out as there is no room elsewhere. Our toiletry bags had to be left on the tiny desk. 2. Don't bother using the shower if you are a wide-framed, i.e. above-average American like my husband, 5'10", 240 for reference. You won't fit in the narrow tub. Thankfully the bathhouse downstairs serves the purpose and we really enjoyed using it. It's perfect to soak away your fatigue after a day of exploring the city. 3. Had a mildly annoying experience with a middle-aged male staff one evening after asking for bath towels for use at the bathhouse. The towels were stacked right behind the reception counter and my husband had no issue requesting them the day prior. However when I did, I was asked to show the room key even though we were wearing the hotel yukata (bath robes). Once verified as hotel guests, he reluctantly handed the towels over with a remark that this was an exception, to what? No sign was posted anywhere that we were supposed to bring the towels from our room with us. Wouldn't have raised my eyebrow if he had shown a little friendliness. To be fair, other staff have been very nice and helpful.
