Piece of Paradise!
Publié le 30 juin 2024 sur HomeAwayOur trip was so much fun, thank you Michael and Lyne!! My wife, 7 yr old son and I had the best time here!! The studio suite was perfect for us with a very comfortable king bed and twin bed for our son. Lots of space to set our luggage and settle in for our 7 night stay. The bathroom was spacious and everything was so clean. The entire living space is wonderful and very comfortable!! We had all we needed with the kitchenette and grill to cook several great meals on the deck. Michael and Lyne are exceptional hosts! They are very welcoming, friendly, accomodating and took the time to recommend things to do in the area as well as tell us about the wildlife around their house. Absolutely great people!!
The beach is beautiful and we had it all to ourselves every day! No resort hotels, no high rise condos… just palm trees, sand and the ocean, absolutely amazing!! We enjoyed fun on the beach, boogie boarding the waves, swimming in the jungle surrounded pool, and eating dinners with the backdrop of crashing waves!! All of the wildlife around the house was a plus, we enjoyed watching the Capuchin monkeys jumping through the trees and snacking on their lunch!! It was so much fun being so immersed in nature but having first rate amenities at the same time!! Torio was a nice little town with some good restaurants and almost everywhere you look the scenery is gorgeous!! This place truly is a most peaceful and very relaxing place to spend time with family! I 10/10 recommend this place!

Beautiful and Secluded
Publié le 23 mars 2023 sur HomeAwayWe stayed for 4 nights and couldn’t be happier with the accommodations and host. Communication and directions were excellent. Michael even met us on the road to help us navigate down the private drive to the house.
The only sounds during our time came from the animals, trees & waves. Michael was great about helping us identify various bird and monkey calls and would help us spot them in the distance or how to be stealthy as they approach.
Lynn was great at sharing details of the local area and sharing recommendations for shopping and restaurants.
The beach is almost deserted, perfect for walks, swimming, boogie boarding or just enjoying the sunset.
Perfect area to get off the beaten path.

Thank you for the great review Carin, only one small inaccuracy; you were here for 5 nights. I guess time really does fly when you are enjoying yourselves.
We hope that you will share your experience with us with your friends in Milwaukee.

Such a beautiful place!
Publié le 5 mars 2023 sur HomeAwayMichael and Lyne were great hosts! They recommended a couple of places to eat (which were both great), they showed us around the beautiful property that includes a beautiful room, deck and private beach! We enjoyed coffee by the pool and the sunset on the beach. Extra bonus was that my husband got to help Michael dig up and save some endangered green turtle eggs! Their love and knowledge of the wildlife around them is extrodanary ❤️ A truly unique location!

The isolated and natural surroundings of the property couldn't be beat. While the residence is completely enshrouded by a variety of trees, palms and other vegetation, a short walk down some steps leads you to a deep and typically private beach. The waters before it are completely safe for swimming as a few hundred yards out a reef partially buffers the water from the typical swells of nearby beaches (Murillo for instance, the renowned surf beach) which can lead to dangerous rip currents. At Michael's and Lyne's beach, I - an average swimmer at best - effortlessly swam and floated as long as I wanted. After a while I could stroll down the beach to check out tidepools at low tide, or just enjoy the peaceful sound of the surf and occasional cry of a bird. I could also retire to the chairs or hammock at the tree and palm shaded platform, or rinse off before a dip in their pool. Morning coffee and breakfast could be had at the table and chairs outside my room or down on the platform again, and lunch and dinner the same or a quick jaunt down the road could supply me with the eats needed. Since I had questions about retirement to Panama and the area, Michael and Lyne assisted me with getting answers to my questions, which both dispelled misinformation and illuminated me about unknown benefits. On 2-3 occasions they dropped what they were doing to assist me: Michael spent the better part of an afternoon showing me the way to a nearby beach restaurant of interest to me. Fantastic!
