Charme et localisation
Publié le 19 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwaySéjourner chez Giuseppe, c’est comme se faire prêter une maison de familiale. On est loin des logements impersonnels meublés en kit suédois. Nous avons choisis le logement pour son charme et sa localisation, et nos attentes ont été comblées. Nous avons laissé notre voiture au garage et circulé en bus et en bateau autour et sur le lac de Côme. C’est un excellent lieu pour rayonner. Les commerces à proximité permettent aussi de cuisiner à la maison.
Le Wifi est de bonne qualité, la literie aussi. Les meubles de patio pourraient être bonifiés mais cela ne nous a pas empêché de manger dehors ! Il y avait le nécessaire dans la cuisine pour démarrer (café, huile, vinaigre, sel, poivre, sucre)- ce qui n’est pas toujours le cas dans ce type de location. C’est appréciable.
Giuseppe a été super aidant lorsque nous avions des questions.
Nous conseillons de bien regarder les indications pour l’arrivée- il est inutile de chercher à aller en voiture jusque devant la maison (ce qui est possible mais un peu étroit selon la taille de votre voiture). Il est nettement plus facile de se garer à quelques dizaines de mètres !

Great find at Lake Como
Publié le 23 sept. 2024 sur HomeAwayWith my adult kids we spent 3 days and two nights at Giuseppes house. Its tricky to find but worth it. Great views from the patio and some of the windows to the lake. Nice pizzeria near by as well as a cute cafe for coffees, pastry and gelato. We had a great time amd Giuseppe was a great host and very communicative and responsive. The lake was beautiful.

It’s Not How It’s Portrayed; Unethical Owner
Publié le 1 sept. 2024 sur HomeAwayCentrally located on Lake Como closest to the town of Comi, it was walking distance to a nice little village. Unfortunately, walking to that village didn’t seem that safe. It was very hot and the unit is not air-conditioned. The fans were NOT adequate. It was sticky and uncomfortable. The owner said there was a Cross-breeze, but there Wasn’t. The grape vines on the back patio were cool. Yes, you could see the lake from the master bedroom, .that was it. There was no breeze coming off the lake. It was like a sauna in there. There was no soap and the bathtub and shower setup was tricky to navigate.
I overpaid the city tax and the owner owed me 20 euro back but claimed it would cost him twice that to put it in the mail, which was a flat out lie. Due to his lack of communication And misrepresentation of his property And his lack of integrity, I would not rent here again. It’s not the money, it’s the principle.

Wish we could have stayed longer

Torno is beautiful!

You will need to take the bus to get there as the torno water taxi is closed right now but to be honest, the bus is better if you have luggage. Take route to house that goes behind tobacco shop, it will be easier yo navigate. There is a wonderful restaurant not far with one of the prettiest views on the lake. The service is full waited and a wonderful experience.
You will want to buy bus tickets same day to get there and another to get back to Como. Check bus schedule for times. Getting around the lake takes some planning on your part. Recommend renting a boat tour.
The owner is responsive with your needs. You will need to have your own bath wash.

Above and beyond!
