Roxedge - a great stay
Publié le 6 avr. 2024 sur HomeAwayVery very helpful hosts- nothing was too much trouble. It rained hard most of the week we spent at Roxedge so the pool table & cinema room were invaluable. Lovely garden with great views & a hot tub which because of the weather we were only able to use 3 times. Providing beach towells was an added bonus. A wonderful hamper was left for us with lots of goodies including some very special eggs with the yellowish yokes we had ever seen.The Easter eggs were good too.

30th birthday surprise
Publié le 23 nov. 2023 sur HomeAwayStopped here with the in laws for my wife surprise 30th birthday away. Great location, lovely house, nice and quiet area and some amazing views. Luke and Tina were amazing hosts, can highly recommend.

A Brilliant family holiday..
Publié le 9 août 2023 sur HomeAwayWas had by all of us! The weather wasn’t perfect but we still went to local safe beaches, with Kayak and paddle board. The house was perfect for 11 of us. The children loved the cinema room, hot tub and all the house had to offer them. The view from the garden was stunning.
The local model village was a success and also the caves.
Nothing was far away, we could walk to local shops and larger super markets were a 10 min drive. The week flew by and Luke and Tina were always available by phone.

Terrific spot for a family gathering
Publié le 29 mai 2023 sur HomeAwayA wonderful spot to explore South Devon. The home was lovely, well equipped and had a stunning view. The backyard has lots of seating to enjoy the views as well as a barbecue and a firepit to enjoy on a nice evening.

Stay in Devon
Publié le 13 avr. 2023 sur HomeAwayFirstly this is not a 5 star house probably 4 stars - it's pretty old and "tired" would be a good description BUT what you do get is a 5 star service from the owners Tina & Luke and the amenities at the property. It is in a great location and the addition of the cinema room the pool table and the large rear garden make it a superb location for a stay. Seldom do you get to a rental and find that everything, especially in the kitchen & bedrooms is spotlessly clean and ready to use.
I would have only one small issue - the house is advertised with a hot tub which the younger members of our family were delighted with - except I was then informed that this was an extra and required extra funds to maintain & use. I didn't quibble as the children would have been very disappointed if they couldn't have used it but it should have been clearer on the site that this was the case. Overall though I would thoroughly recommend this for a short holiday and would certainly use it again for a family break in Devon.

Thank you for your review Colin, and we are so pleased that you enjoyed your stay, and we would love to welcome you back. Regarding the hot tub, yes we do charge for this for stays less than 1 week, as the cost of chemicals, heating, daily checks and especially water is difficult to absorb on shorter stays. Unfortunately here in the south west we have the most expensive water per cubic metre than anywhere else in the UK. We do state that there is an additional charge in the description on VRBO, but perhaps we need to look at emphasising this more. Thank you for your feedback.

Great property to relax by the sea
Publié le 4 juill. 2022 sur HomeAwayWonderful house for 2 families to share with plenty of space to spread out and have privacy. The yard was great for the kids to play. We had easy access to the South Coast Path. Beach access was best walking down the street with the kids. Walking distance to some shops and groceries.
Luke and Tina were great hosts. They left an amazing welcome basket of treats, wine, and gifts for the kids. Contact with them was easy.
Highly recommend the property

We hired the house for a family birthday weekend. Out was perfect for our diverse needs.
Publié le 8 mai 2022 sur HomeAwayExcellent hosts left a generous welcome hamper with a toy for the baby and dog treats too. We loved the pool room and cinema room. We had a fire pit evening and played the games in the garden. The house had everything that we needed. Great location too.

Amazing property

The property is fully equipped with everything you could need and more! The bbq area has a fantastic view and the firepit in the evenings is a welcome addition. We would definitely come again!
