All staff was really lovely and access to swimming pool was just a bonus. Also really happy with the breakfast and room service. Thank you so much 🙏

Really good stay and when got back from meal the evening entertainment was still going so was nice

Overnight stay in August

Stayed overnight in hotel as we had a theatre show booked in Torquay on Saturday. Arrived early and was able to check in and pay for parking in the car park. Reception looked good and they were very helpful. Used the lift as we had a small case and were on the 3rd floor. It took forever to arrive and then when it did it was Definitely an experience- wasn’t sure if it was going to break down with the noises it was making and although it said for 6 people I think four would have been a struggle, it was so small, old and dirty. Eventually got to room, whole hotel upstairs in need of a paint and spruce up, looks very tired and the some of our furniture looked old. The chair needed to go to the tip and was quite embarrassing. The room slopped down as I quess this is an old building but it did make me feel uneasy. No pressure in the shower so having a shower was a struggle and the towels were so small they did not cover all body. We did use the bar next door for drink and dinner which was good. There is a lot on offer to do and is obviously a very popular destination for tourists but I did feel lucky that we were only booked in for one night as we would not be wasting any more money. Such as shame as they have a good business there just need to spend some of the takings making it better for the people who keep the business running. On a positive note breakfast was very good, however there is an additional charge as breakfast is not included in the price of the room.

Very dated and not very clean in certain areas.

Very dated and certain areas are not very clean esp games room.. Lack of respect from guests coming to breakfast in pyjamas.

Far too expensive for the condition of the building and standards of the rooms. Staff were extremely friendly, but this doesn’t outshine the fact that this hotel is outdated, unclean and poor value for money. Will not be staying again.
