Overpriced and inconveniently located. Hospitality was lacking. The gravel road to get to the hotel is awful. The dinner menu was limited and extremely overpriced. Do not stay here.

Great location with beautiful surroundings. If you know the road it is easy and fast to get to the national park. The food is amazing ! The staff is very friendly and welcoming.

This was a great place to stay to relax and visit Torres del Paine. The staff is great; the food is very, very good; the wine selection was also quite good and reasonably priced, considering you are 100 miles from a major town. The views from the dining area are stunning: we took pictures every meal.
The only downside is the distance to the entrance to the park: 25 km of rough terrain, each way. That adds up and you need to be aware of the fuel, since the nearest gas station is in Puerto Natales. There are few options to obtain more fuel, at a higher rate.
It would be nice to have the large tub outside working, to relax after a day of hiking.

Room with a view of TDP
Publié le 26 mars 2019 sur HotelsAlthough out of the way and a long drive on a very rough road, it was worth it for the view of TDP and lovely staff. Couldn’t have been more helpful. Comfortable bed and hot shower to come back to after hiking. Meals were very nice as was our boxed lunch we took for our day out. Also enjoyed walking around the ranch and if you want can go on a horse ride.

Beautiful Ranch, great location and awesome view of the Towers. Very picturesque. Hosts are great they woke up at midnight to sign us in and provided local travel info.
12 km from the main road but we were able to get to it on a small car - a bit shaky and we did it in pitch dark night on gravel road with wooden narrow bridges.

Thanks for your review, for some people that route is a torture. It seems forget they are in Patagonia. They even want good Wi-Fi connection.
I'm glad that you enjoy your stay with us.

Don't plan to explore the park if you stay here
Publié le 5 févr. 2019 sur HotelsConflicted on how to rate this, but I ultimately gave it a 2/5. My girlfriend and I recently traveled to Torres del Paine for 4 nights, 3 of which we'd planned to stay at Hotel Estancia Tercera Barranca (nights 1, 2, and 4). We arrived late the first night, and it quickly became evident that the property, while charming, was not going to enable us to have the trip we planned on. We ended up leaving the next day, and stayed elsewhere all other nights of the trip - for context, I've never left a property early before.
Quite simply, the location is terrible for exploring the park. The route to the property on Google Maps is incorrect, involving a river crossing that doesn't exist. While it appears quite close, you actually have to drive much past the park on Rt 9, before turning onto a very rough road for 12 km. All told, it would take an hour or more to reach the park gates, with substantial risk of car damage unless in an SUV. Management told us of the route inaccuracy ~4 days before we arrived, long after the cancellation deadline - we felt misled.
At that distance, you'd be better off staying in Puerto Natales, where there is more selection at a much lower price; or even better, stay at the many wonderful, comparably priced properties in and near the park.
If you just want the nice view for a few days, maybe with a horseback ride on the ranch, this property could be appealing (one note - atrocious wifi). But if you want to explore the park, its location is terrible.

I think your review is poor and unfare, because you didn't continued your stay in our ranch.
The location is perfect for been far from crowds of TDP National Park.
We always advice about our acces and road, it's rough but just 12 km. It's a privilege place next Paine massif. also all the ditance in Patagonia are long and the roads are not good because is not the city. You can stay closer the park but much more expensive or in a dorm with 8 or 10 persons.
And if you want better WiFi here. You didn't understand anything about Patagonia.
