Comfort and views

We came for a short trip to Faroe Islands. We wanted to explore the rugged nature of the land but have a comfortable base to operate from. And we found it in the Hilton. Located just on the edge of town with views to the sea and one tidal parking. But only 15 minute walk to centre.

First time in the Faroe’s

Loved our stay. Hotel is fairly new w all the Modern conveniences. The staff were always welcoming and the hotel bar & restaurant were excellent. Great food. Hotel is about a 20 minute walk to downtown Torshavn but that did not pose an issue for us.

Scam! Dont stay here.

This hotel is a scam. There is a countrywide worker's strike in the Faroe Islands. There is no fuel, no rental cars and limited food. There are no taxis either. This hotel lies. I attempted to cancel 2 days prior and they overcharged my credit card for MORE than 1 night. I have no way of getting to the hotel or around the island. The country is effectively shut down. Horrible customer service. I'm also a Hilton Honors member. I'm never staying at a Hilton again!

Dear Matthew,You are correct, there is a strike on the Faroe Islands at the moment.However, the strike is not affecting our product and it is possible to get to the hotel with local taxi companies. We did offer you to move the reservation free of charge, but you declined. We are just following the terms and conditions that you booked with, which was semi-flex and possible to cancel without any charges 5 days before arrival. You contacted us the day before your arrival and therefore you will be charged for the first night. This is situation is very unfortunate for all parties involved.

Small’ish rooms for the price ($225 per night). No wardrobe, just a hanging rod. Rooms and public areas really hot. Very noisy on most nights from overnight conferences and people spilling into the parking and playing music and drinking booze. Rooms facing the parking got all the noise. One would think the hotel would ask them not to create a ruckus going into the early hours of the morning. Positives - staff are friendly, housekeeping is good, plenty of parking, close to town.
