Woodsy Getaway

My husband and daughter enjoyed it just as much as I did. She has plenty of space to run and we took advantage of the hot tub to wind down.

Cozy stay!

Front porch swing and rocking chairs were great for sitting and listening to rain on the metal roof. Would definitely stay again. 4 star rating for cleaning only reflective of dusty baseboards. Rest of cabin was very clean. Baseboards are rustic wood so might be difficult to keep clean.

Cozy, clean, convenient
Publié le 18 août 2024 sur HomeAwayVery happy with Uncle Toms Cabin in Townsend. It was nicely appointed, comfortable and loved how convenient to Townsend activities. We were there for Smoky Mountain Hot Air Balloon Festival and this cabin was perfectly located.

Publié le 27 juill. 2024 sur HomeAwayvery nice. surface cleaning was great but the bathroom register was gross. IT IS FULL OF DOG HAIR or something. and when you sit on the couch the cobweb above the window and door has been there for months

Thank you for the feedback Deborah. We take pride in our positive reviews about cleaning so we take comments like this very seriously. I have spoken to our cleaning team so we can look into and address what was in the HVAC register and any cobwebs that may have come up. They do appear much quicker than some can imagine in the Smoky Mountains.

Quiet getaway
Publié le 29 juin 2024 sur HomeAwayMy sister and I wanted to stay away from the crowds of Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. We wanted to see Cades Cove, Townsend, and the surrounding areas for Ancestry.com research.
The cabin was close to shopping, local restaurants and a grocery store. Several of the restaurants in the area are dog friendly and have outdoor dining. We ate at Peaceful Side Social, and the Abbey at Heartland Chapel with our small dog.
Sitting on the front porch every morning was so relaxing! We enjoyed the clean hot tub, and easy to use television setup. The kitchen appliances were new, easy to use, and quite clean. There is only one bathroom so if you have four people staying you will have to coordinate your use of the facilities. Since it was only the two of us we had no trouble.
If you are looking for tons of mini-golf, go-carts, and typical tourist attractions then stay in Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge If you're looking for a quiet vacation that is close to the Cades Cove end of the Great Smoky Mountains Park, this is the place to stay!
