If it seems too good to be true
Upon arrival we were given the wrong unit number & code after hauling 4 people's luggage upstairs to an occupied unit. Around this time the owner sent us the correct unit & code. When we arrived at condo we didn't have electricity or water until 9pm that night. Someone said it was due to the fires on the island but we learned this is a reoccurring event. We were without power power periodically for 4 days out of 7 and water outages for parts of 2 days. When we reported this to the owner he said it was worse in the summer time. None of this was disclosed in the listing understandably we would not have rented it if we had known. Also, the safe was broken, coffee machine never worked right, the tvs were difficult to use and no instructions how to use anything.When we asked the owner how to operate the tv he replied "it's a smart tv". We knew that but ..we finally figured out the family room tv by trial & error of 2 remotes. We never could use the bedroom tv. When we asked how to use the seemly broken coffeemaker the owner never replied. The positives: this is a beautiful 3 br 2 bath condo with a beautiful screened porch with the most beautiful blue and clear water we have ever seen. The local restaurants and bars were excellent. It was nice to have a golf cart to get around the area. The beach area, chairs umbrellas, kayaks & paddleboards were included and readily available. Groceries bring/buy @ Maxwells in Marsh Harbor. to ing what you can go to the largest grocery oples
