Romantic castle experience

Emplacement : This is the Rapunzel castle, if you're interested in the Grimm Brothers' tales.
This castle-turned-into-a-hotel (Rapunzel's castle) has full of stories and historical objects. Very interesting and romantic to spend a night, and the staff overall was efficient and helpful. The complimentary breakfast was great, and I also enjoyed the complimentary trip to the dungeon and tower, although its spiral staircase is not for the faint-hearted!
* Just a tip: the hotel does not have any elevator, so make sure that your luggage is not too heavy to carry all the way up.

Pour : peaceful setting, helpful staff, good restaurant
Contre : wi-fi signal could be better, intermittantly dropping out
Emplacement : Kassel is about 30 mins drive
Lovely setting, staff very helpful. Room was very clean and nice.
Ate in the restaurant, an amazing setting - on a patio overlooking the whole valley with birds of prey roosting nearby. Very romantic and peaceful.
Breakfast and dinner very good

Pour : Loved climbing Rapunzel's tower and looking out over the surrounding countryside! Beautiful.
Contre : Location was a bit of a hike from other sites we were interested in so there wasn't a lot outside the castle to do.
Hotel Trendelburg did a great job of blending a wonderful experience for our little girls (ages 7 and 4) with a classy upscale enjoyable experience for the adults as well. The hotel staff went above and beyond in their service and flexibility! We absolutely loved our night at Hotel Burg Trendelburg! The canopy bed in the room, the Rapunzel's tower climb, and the amazing entrecôte steak dinner that night were our favorites.
