Bar Harbor View is still my "Happy Place"

Very clean. Kitchen well stocked for cooking.

Incredible view
Publié le 27 août 2024 sur HomeAwayYou can’t beat the location of this house, sitting right on blue Hill Bay looking across to MDI. The house itself is very comfortable, extremely well appointed and quickly feels like a second home. Were signed up for next summer! Location feels very private, but just 15 minutes from Acadia. Perfect vacation spot!

Note the shore is as pictured. Rough and stony!
We have 2 grandchildren: 8 and 11: new to kayaking! What a treat that two of the 5 kayaks available were two passenger! My complaint: the cockpits are bit small for us 6’2” 70 yr olds, so…I landed in the water attempting to exit the kayak I was in. All part of the adventure. So well equipped, boots, life jackets, paddles; all added a wonderful dimension to our stay!
A small point but..it rained like crazy the morning of our departure and I was able to back our van into the garage for dry packing
Wonderful quiet location, not much wave action but a gentle shore and wonderful view!
If you are ok with the location, it is a wonderful place!
Be ok with the location: 30-40 minutes to the prime locations in Acadia and Bar Harbor, but… away from the madding crowds and near fantastic Lobster Pound Restaurants, Try them all!
Spacious, bright, well equipped, great deck and boats!
Worth every penny!

Beautiful property with breathtaking views

The view from the back deck was breathtaking and the house felt secluded. We enjoyed use of the kayaks and even saw a bald eagle a couple of times. We enjoyed the house immensely. Thanks for a great time!

Nature Calls
Publié le 23 juin 2024 sur HomeAwayThis beautiful cottage on the water was well stocked with everything. The newly added 3rd bathroom was a welcomed surprised. We took advantage of the provided kayaks to explore the Narrows and view the Harbor Seals. A great generational family vacation!
