Cozy gateway to the Redwoods

Just as advertised, in short. Easy check-in, spotless-clean upon our arrival, wonderful partial views of the water from the living room and BBQ deck (and a short walk to bluffs with lovely views and the sounds of sea lions), and a cozy and comfortable bedroom. Ideal for a couple, might feel cramped with someone staying on the fold-out bet. Perfect location to explore the Redwoods parks (and hidden gem Sue-Meg state park next door).

Some false advertising

If you book this property through VRBO, be aware that there are NOT laundry machines on site, even though the VRBO listing states that there are. We brought half as many clothing items that we would have if we'd known that we'd have to drive into town somewhere to do laundry. Actually, we probably wouldn't have rented the place. During the stay, I reached out to the Vacasa help line and did not get a response for THREE DAYS!! By then we had already checked out in our dirty, stinky clothes. Now that I'm home, I just got off the phone with Vacasa to find out how this happened. Not surprisingly, all blame was deflected and it is now on me to work with VRBO to get the listing corrected. Seriously??? It's an otherwise great property, but the way this was (not) handled casts a shadow over the positives.

Northern California getaway

This little home was so quaint and perfect for our three night stay. The views were incredible. There are several nearby restaurants that are amazing.

Cute cabin in the woods

Small, well equipped cabin in the woods. No washer and dryer. Numerous kitchen gadgets and supplies. Bed comfortable. Overall very clean and well organized. Plenty of linens. Tissues in bathroom would have been nice. Remote location, hard to find at night. Nice ocean view, could hear sea lions. Enjoyed our stay.

Paradise in the dark

Absolutely beautiful presentation, great size, everything was perfect except the time of year. Wind & Rain took the power out, that includes the WiFi & Internet, water pressure & the heat. The hum of generators all around made it clear our accommodations were lacking. Grateful for all the extra blankets! Management company did reach out, addressed our concerns and made concessions. Impressed the unit came with a battery operated lantern!!
