Evening staff on arrival helpful after first room smelled of marijuana, second room ok but again marijuana vial in trash liner and trash was under the trash liner , evening staff member could have been friendlier , manager smiled and was pleasant and helpful

Beware and think twice!!!

We were informed by Tracy Jones who boasted about being the GM and regional GM that it was unavailable due to renovations and we should have checked the website to know this information. It was NOT updated on the website. Upon entering our room it smelled like a locker room and dried flower pedals under the desk. The bathtub had soap scum. We asked for a different room but was told that was not possible. We could not be refunded for our 2-night stay. On the bright side there are two very wonderful employees there: Stephen who oversees the morning breakfast and Paula at the front desk who is compassionate and helpful. It was my birthday and my first vacation in 15 years. I would never recommend staying at Comfort Suites in Troy, Ohio.

We were not told the pool was out of service and we were there for a week
The outside patio area was unkept and smelled due to an overflowing trash can
Upon checking there were no rooms clean and ready so we waiting in the lobby for almost an hour and the receptionist was not approachable
There was a community member loitering at the front desk talking to the staff while we waited for our room

We booked this hotel because of the pool for the kids. When we checked in, they had a sign saying the pool wasn’t open. This should have been mentioned at booking or an email sent by the hotel. Not very clean. Kids found gummies on the floor. Could have been laced with something. Got flushed before the kids ate them.
