Great spot near Northstar
Posted Feb. 4, 2024 on HomeAwayStayed here for a group ski trip. We had 9 adults, and there were plenty of beds & space for everyone.
Excellent location, the Northstar shuttle made it really easy to get to the mountain and back. You can call it from an app in the morning, and then just hop on and give your destination in the afternoon.
Private hot tub was a great amenity in the backyard.
Some reviews mentioned poor cleaning or a bad smell; we didn't notice any of that.
I would say the only downside was that (as with many short-term rentals) the tools in the kitchen were pretty variable: dull knives, mismatched coffee maker, etc. But we were able to find everything we needed in the end to make a good meal.

Easy getaway for Northstar!

horrible experience
Posted Jul. 5, 2023 on HomeAwayWe arrived to find multiple chipmunks in the house and chipmunk feces everywhere. It was beyond horrible. I have never had a worse experience in home rental and this is my first vrbo rental and I will not be using them again. I am supposed to get a refund but have not heard from the host or received any information about the refund.
It was beyond stressful as we were crunched for time to get ready for a wedding and had no where to change and get ready.

Cleanliness problem and horrible customer service by Vacasa
Posted Mar. 12, 2023 on HomeAwayWe arrived to a home that has not been cleaned. We had to wait until after 7:30pm for the cleaning crew to show up. And even after they cleaned they couldn’t take the appreciable amount of trash left by the previous occupants. Had to wait until half way through the second day for the trash to be picked up.
The house is fine but customer service by Vacasa is difficult to get a hold of and then not very caring when you do get a hold of them. Very cold interactions with customer service.

Location is the best! Hot tub can’t hurt
Posted Jan. 15, 2022 on HomeAwayWe had a wonderful stay. With covid, clearly the staff are over worked so there were some bumps but overall a good stay. They need to clear out the dining room chair that only has three legs as a previous review suggested, leaving it at the table is dangerous. Fortunately the person who sat in it is a younger man so didn’t get hurt when he sat on it and fell but, certainly not ideal.

Property not as advertised

We were disappointed to learn upon checking in that the property does not have a hot tub that guests can use (however we were charged a hot tub fee) and it has not been newly remodeled as advertised. Most of the lightbulbs in the kitchen and downstairs bathroom were out and there was a broken towel rack hanging off the wall in the bathroom. Cobwebs and dust were visible across the ceiling and rafters of the downstairs. Definitely not worth the money for three nights.

Our local staff has resecured the towel rack and replaced burnout lightbulbs. The home has also been scheduled for a deep clean. We hope to have an opportunity to host and impress you in the future.

Great place to stay
Posted Aug. 8, 2021 on HomeAwayMy family and friends enjoyed the stay at this location. The smell at first was a bit strong but I have experienced this in other cabins, by day 2, you really don’t smell it any more. Very welcoming and well taken care of. Loved it!!

Good except 1 thing
