Secluded & Clean Yurt, nestled in woods and gardens

ENJOY QUIET TIME lounging inside or sprawl out on the deck which offers a great view of the farm and incredible sunsets, convenient for grilling, reading, doing yoga or whatever you might enjoy.

Inside there is a very comfortable, all-natural QUEEN BED mattress in the loft with a window to the sky. As pictured, the loft is accessed by climbing a ladder. The loft is not suitable for children, as there is no railing. On the main floor, there is a convertible QUEEN FUTON, very comfortable as far as futons go. We are happy to make this bed for guests who prefer not to climb the ladder.

There's a large FULL BATHROOM, a SMALL KITCHEN and a WALK-IN CLOSET. Organic LINENS, one set of TOWELS and PILLOWS ARE PROVIDED for all guests.

The KITCHEN has a small oven, stove, mini-fridge with small freezer, toaster oven, pots, pans, dishes, cups, oil, vinegar, basic spices, a french press (with instructions) and locally roasted organic coffee and sugar ready for your use (there is no microwave and we do not provide cream). The gardens just outside the door offer cooking herbs for picking and are a great pair to the LOCAL FOOD OPTIONS you can order listed below.

There is GAS GRILL and outdoor furniture for summer cookouts on the deck. We clean the grill between each guest and provide grill utensils.

There's a small FIRE PIT and HAMMOCK among the trees. WOOD IS PROVIDED.

Heating/Cooling: There is a wood stove available in cooler months, a space heater, a ceiling fan and oscillating fans to ensure your comfort. THERE IS NO A/C, as such, if it is humid outside, it's humid inside. Luckily, summers in the Finger Lakes tend to be mild and nights usually cool down.

The yurt is nestled in the woods at Wellspring Forest Farm, a small diversified operation that produces mushrooms, maple syrup, elderberry extract, and grazing sheep and chickens. There are farm animals, dogs and electric fences around farm animals.

There is .8 mile marked Trail just behind the yurt you are welcome to walk at your leisure. We maintain and mow this trail regularly, although in very wet seasons, maintenance may not be possible. For the privacy of our neighbors, we ask that you do not walk elsewhere on the farm.

We are located just 12 miles from Ithaca, 12 miles from Watkins Glen, and 8 miles Trumansburg, NY, a perfect jumping-off point for the wine, beer or cheese trails, waterfall hikes, restaurant outings, graduation weekend events, the Ithaca Farmers Market and more! Cell phone service can be spotty depending on your provider. Generally texting always works.

* We DO NOT ALLOW PARTIES and A MAXIMUM of 4 people and 2 cars total may stay at the yurt. If more cars are needed, please contact us.*

*Dogs may be considered for an extra cleaning fee and deposit.

***We CLEAN with only, non-toxic, all-natural cleaning supplies between each guest and sanitize door handles. We use Seventh Generation laundry detergent and dryer sheets. If "clean" means you want to smell bleach, chemicals, Tide, Bounty or other strong scents, this is not the right stay for you.
