Location of property is perfect. It’s close to some great places to eat and places to shop. The lobby area is nice,but the rooms are long overdue for remodeling. The bathroom is the worst with rusty corroded ceiling vents. The thin wood covering on the bathroom door was peeling off on both sides and there was water damage in the drywall in several places.

Property was outdated, dirty and just not good. Our room was dirty. Floors sticky and we has dog hair all over our socks after the first 10 minutes. We asked the front desk to vacuum our room again with no satisfaction.

Dated, not up to standards. The smoke detector in the room for example, read replace by 2004…It’s the end of 2024. Staff did their best, this hotel needs to be desperately needs renovation.

The employees need a raise, building needs reno.
The one and only good quality of this hotel is the employees who were professional, patient and kind. The room was freezing cold and someone had to come open a vent to turn it on which didn’t happen until the second day (second time I asked). The shower had hot water and good water pressure which I was grateful for. Everything in the continental breakfast was cold and I don’t think it was meant to be. The eggs were very watery. Furniture in the room was in poor condition, if it were better maintained it would be easy to overlook that it’s from the 90s. The bed was reasonably comfortable and there was a tv that could connect to Netflix. I was not able to get connected and stay connected to wifi which made it so I could not do any work after the training events I was in Tucson for.
Atrium area that reminded me of malls in the 90s.

I stayed on a weekend and the maid service never even made the bed, placed new towels on a dirty sink that had makeup from the night before in the sink. The morning manager did make it better by refunding a night. The elevator only one was accessible. The heating/cooling system is terrible you cannot really adjust your system and literally had to turn it off so I wasn’t freezing. Honest opinion they have massive room to improve.

I changed rooms 4 times, air cooler did not cool in first 3 rooms, very dusty, old smelly furniture, spots on the curtains, Stopper on the tub not working, just a really old not kept up very well place. I had to pull the matress and box spring out to plug in my phone and there was a bunch of nasty dust and dirt back there.

Microwave was not plugged in and there was not a plug anywhere close to it, hence, it is on rollers so you can roll it accross the floor to plug it in.

Safe was nice to probably was good. I didn’t think I didn’t like was the pool area was run down. Chairs have holes in it. He couldn’t sit out there And enjoy the sun. Also, the maid service was kind of slacking. I had to keep asking for towels. No one came in to make the bed out of the time I was there, but the front desk staff was very nice.

Staying at this hotel was a terrible experience. The hotel looks nothing in person like the photos online. It was dark and dirty looking upon arrival. The front desk individuals were not friendly, it looked like an empty abandoned mall walking to the elevators. The hallways were littered with food containers and the room itself was dark, hot and smelled musty. The curtains were soiled and the floor was threadbare in spots. We asked immediately to change rooms and got no reply. Way over priced. Terrible experience.

I love Viscount, I have been staying here for over 23 years and it never disappoints. The building itself is pretty old and could use some remodeling as far as the hall carpets go but that is all I can think that needs improvement. I love all the foliage and the feeling of being outside of AZ while I'm there. The staff is always pleasant. Most importantly, I love staff never bothers you, It's an easy going atmosphere.

The front desk staff was very helpful and friendly. I like to talk, and they had fun conversations with me. They knew I liked to walk and called me, "speedwalker". The woman that worked the bar-cafe on weekend evenings was also very nice. Next time I visit Tucson, I'll stay again.
