I absolutely loved my stay at Otonomus! From the moment I walked in, everyone was so warm and welcoming, making me feel right at home. I had such a wonderful experience at Otonomus in Tulum. The scenery is absolutely breathtaking — surrounded by lush jungle, it’s incredibly peaceful, calm, and quiet, making it the perfect escape from the noise of everyday life. Everything was so clean and beautifully maintained, and the staff were very friendly, helpful, and welcoming. You can really feel the care that goes into this place. I loved every moment of my stay and can’t wait to come back!

This aparthotel is absolutely beautiful! We stayed in a 1 bedroom with private rooftop pool and sea view and we were not disappointed. My children used our private pool and the property pool everyday. It was nice coming back to a place big enough for a family of four. We had a balcony to just sit and relax on which was separate from the beautiful rooftop balcony that had our private pool! It is a fairly new property, so it was extremely clean and well-kept. It was also nice to have the front desk responding to our needs so quickly. The 3 staff we encountered were all very nice and helpful. Just a heads up though — although it is not a far walk from the beach/hotel zone, there are no sidewalks to walk on the narrow road, making it a not-so-safe walk. We ended up taking a taxi everywhere, which quickly added up as they are quite expensive. All in all, we would definitely stay here again and have already recommended it to our friends!

I had to stay for one night in Tulum before heading to Cancun, so I gave Otonomus Tulum at try. I simply loved everything about this place especially that it gives Tulum vibe with a modern touch. The unit is spacious, clean, and had everything I needed. The concierge was super friendly and helpful; he even helped me book my transportation the next day to Cancun. Highly recommended!

I carefully read earlier reviews of this property before booking. Upon check-in I discussed previous issues with the friendly staff. Basically all of the issues were non-existent or resolved. This place is brand new and clean. There was Koh a single bug in the room and if ever I needed something the staff was there to provide it for me. The room has everything including a fully equipped kitchen. The location is ideal. It is a short walk to beautiful beaches. So you have the perks of spending you entire day there, while you stay at a much more affordable and comfortable hotel. I would highly recommend staying here.

We loved our stay at Otonomus Tulum. The aparthotel is new and modern and tastefully decorated. We had our own private lounge pool, which was perfect to hop in for morning stretching or just to cool off. The main pool was awesome. We had it to ourselves most days/night. It's long and great for laps but also has a shalow end perfect for sitting around. They offer free bikes, and scooters and atv rentals...although we choose to walk...its 15min to the beach zone, which was perfect for us. The hotel personnel are super friendly and helpful and quick to respond. They helped us arrange our transport from the airport, and allowed us a late check out and a spot to store our bags as we had a late flight back. We would definitely stay here again any time we are in tulum.

The property was spacious and the private rooftop pool was nice. You could see the ocean from the rooftop. Staff was friendly. The beds and sofa futon were very uncomfortable. We had no hot or even warm water the entire week and water in the showers drained only after hours or sometimes a day.

I stayed at the hotel for 2 out of the 4 nights I had booked. The aesthetics of the hotel and room were consistent with the photos provided online, However, several issues arose during my stay. The code given to acess the room didnt work after numerous attempts by myself and the person at the front desk (eventually i got a actual key to acess the room),there was no safe in the room (to secure personal belongings), the shower water was warm, the bedding was firm and no comforters were provided in my room, the tv was slanted and the remote control was missing from the room (I was able to obtain one from the front desk). Additionally, on the second night, there was a power outage, and the hotel was unable to provide a backup solution. The power outage was the final inconsistency, and had to seek accommodation elsewhere. A friend who was traveling with me had a similar experience, with even more inconsistencies in their own room. While the front desk staff was accommodating and professional, addressing concerns with understanding, I was disappointed by the hotel's policy of not offering refunds, even when guest expectations are not met. It would be beneficial for the hotel to take guest feedback seriously and implement improvements based on reviews. Given the challenges faced during my stay, I would not recommend this property, as it did not meet the standard I anticipated.

Dionisio at the hotel was extremely helpful with the reservation and also recommending and booking beach club space for us. The rooms are new, well equipped (doesn't have hairdryers currently, FYI) and a good place. You will need a car to get into Tulum. Would recommend the place.

This place is completely unprepared to host guests. After a long flight, I arrived exhausted, only to be kept waiting over an hour past check-in time in the lobby to access my room. Once I finally got in, I discovered the door lock was broken, leaving us stuck in the room until it was fixed. The experience only got worse. There was no hot water for the first two days, and on the third day, there was no water at all for the entire day, meaning we couldn’t even shower that evening. We paid extra for a room with a private pool, but the pool was empty for our entire four-day stay. Despite this, they refused to move us to another room or offer any compensation. The apartment itself was poorly equipped: there was no toilet paper or soap provided, the oven didn’t work, and we had to request adapters just to use the stove. There was no microwave, and construction noise from unfinished rooms filled the air from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. every day with constant banging and drilling. I was patient and gave them time to fix these issues, but nothing was resolved during my stay. They even promised to refund one night, but later rejected Expedia’s request for the refund. This was an incredibly frustrating experience, and the management’s lack of organization and accountability made it even worse. Avoid this place at all costs.

The aesthetics of this room was beautiful but the functionality was lacking. Staff was super kind and warm and did what they could. Plenty of parking with security. Fridge in our room made horribly loud sound Showers did not get hot. Shower did not drain well. AC unit on or off, could not adjust anything. Only a sheet on the bed, no blankets. Bed was very firm. No safe in room- important to some for passports and such Also the room codes were all pretty easy to guess. Someone could have entered our room with little effort. Building is still under construction and there was a lot of noise.

Mon séjour à Otonomus Tulum a été absolument exceptionnel. Dès mon arrivée, le personnel m’a accueilli avec une gentillesse et un professionnalisme remarquables, veillant à ce que chaque détail de mon séjour soit parfait. Les installations de l'hôtel sont modernes et parfaitement entretenues. Ma chambre était spacieuse, décorée avec goût et équipée de toutes les commodités nécessaires pour un confort optimal. De plus, la connexion Wi-Fi était rapide et fiable, un vrai plus pour rester connecté. L'emplacement de l'hôtel est idéal, à proximité de la magnifique plage de Tulum et du parc national. Il est également proche de lieux emblématiques comme le musée SFER IK et les célèbres ruines mayas, ce qui en fait un point de départ parfait pour explorer la région. Un des points forts de mon séjour a été la superbe piscine extérieure, idéale pour se détendre après une journée d'exploration. La terrasse offre une vue imprenable, créant une atmosphère paisible et relaxante. En résumé, Otonomus Tulum a dépassé toutes mes attentes. Je recommande vivement cet hôtel à toute personne recherchant une expérience inoubliable à Tulum, avec un service de premier ordre et des installations exceptionnelles.
