Disappointing

Excellent location in the very center of the city, close to Piazza Castello, in a safe shopping area with restaurants and cafés. The staff person who gave us the keys was extremely kind and available and provided useful information. The apartment is a one-room studio with an upper level and a bathroom. We had booked for three people, but only the king size bed upstairs was ready. We had to open and prepare ourselves the sofa bed downstairs with the available sheets (actually, a duvet cover). Unfortunately, the sofa bed literally falls apart and it was almost impossible to sleep on it (see photo). The wooden slats fell one by one during the night making a great noise. The bathroom has a bidet, but no bidet towels were provided. The kitchen is not equipped at all. Apart an amazing amount of cutlery (including a cooking knife which could hardly cut butter), there are no dishes and no glasses! We could not imagine such a thing, therefore the first night we had to eat soup in the mugs, before buying disposable tableware. Instead of an appropriate plastic garbage can, there is an unhygienic wicker rubbish bin, with the result that a colony of ants kept us company the whole time (see photo). The light on the kitchen worktop in not working. Last but not least, the extractor hood is a fake! Actually, the pipe is not connected (see photo), so that the oily smoke from the kitchen is only moved a little higher, but remains in the room. If you need just a coffee and no more, it is ok.

Regarding the sofa, unfortunately, while you were opening it the springs, and consequently the slats, got stuck and broke. We are taking steps to replace it with a new, higher quality sofa in order to avoid further discomfort to future guests.We also apologize for the absence of garbage cans: we will place some in the apartment. About the kitchen equipment, there are actually cups, cutlery, cookware, glasses and plates. Guests can find them in the cupboard. As for the ants, upon your check-out we conducted a thorough cleaning of the apartment, and we found no trace of them, so it must have been an isolated case. We are sorry for this inconvenience.We work to improve our service and the quality of our apartments, so we hope to host you again in order to make you change your mind about us.The Wonderful Italy Team
