Wonderful stay
Publié le 18 juill. 2023 sur HomeAwayOur family had a wonderful stay at Evelyn's cottage. The beach is close, and the neighborhood is quiet. The cottage is well-equipped, and so beautifully designed that it's a delight for the eyes. I could not recommend it more warmly.

Tybee Getaway
Publié le 10 déc. 2024 sur HomeAwayThe house was very nice and came with most of the kitchen supplies that you could need. Loved the back porch area and actually got engaged while sitting on the porch swing! The only downside to the house is that the floors were a bit dirty and dusty.

Oh dear! We are beginning a complete refreshing and deep cleaning but floors should never be dusty or dirty and will be addressed.

Great place close to the beach!

Evelyn contacted me as best as possible and was helpful and refunded the part of our stay when we left early due to the hurricane. We hope to return again when the weather is more hospitable.

Cute Stay Close to Lighthouse and Fort
Publié le 6 oct. 2024 sur HomeAwayProperty is an easy walk to the beach access, to the lighthouse, the park, and the fort. Everything else is an easy bike or golf cart ride away.
This unit is the front part of a house and we never heard the guests in the back from inside the house. Outside was a different story though. The two porches (theirs and "ours") are right next to each other and their parking area is right next to "our" porch. So, we could hear them and vice-versa easily while on the screened porch. They weren't loud, just that close. There are curtains on the porch which mostly give you privacy visually, but it's not the audio privacy you'd have in a house if you rented the entire thing.
Decor is cute and as the listing photos show. Bright and fresh.
All of the amenities were not there or fully functional (minor things that did not detract from our experience but might yours.... Beach chairs, fireplace, shampoo/conditioner to make the main ones). I let the host know about everything so maybe it'll be great if you book.
Parking is in the grass or on the street. We parked in the grass and ended up with a flat tire.
It could use a good deep clean inside and out.
Bring your own food storage containers if you plan on cooking.
Checkout tasks were minimal which was nice.
Overall a great stay but I probably wouldn't stay here again... too many other great options.

Yes, guest let me know so these issues are already addressed. We are at the end of a very busy season and a break when we do deep cleaning and do a thorough check of everything. I’ve never had a complaint about porches and voice privacy so I think guests would rarely have an issue.

Seaside Delight!

Perfect Space for Family Getaway
