It was good but we paid for 2 bedrooms and a sleeper couch, but did not get the sleeper couch. One of the girls had to sleep on the floor

Pour : the room decor was very nice. the balcony was nice.
Contre : supply small bottles of laundry soap
Loved the rooms, very clean, washers and dryers were in the room, but did not have any laundry detergent.

Tybee weekend

Emplacement : love Tybee.
I'd booked on line and was led to believe that the nightly rate is $180 plus a $25 cleaning fee. When I checked in, I was told that the cleaning fee was $125 (for 2 nights). I thought that was absurd. Staff insisted that this is listed on Expedia's site and frankly, had I seen this, I would NEVER have booked this room. There were plenty of other accommodations on Tybee island WITH ocean view (this room did not have ocean view) for $250 night. Ultimately, that's what this cost me.

Emplacement : in a perfect place
We had a wonderful time on the resort the only one problem we had was checking in from booking with expedia, that came with other and more expenses we did not expect. Other then that we had a blast.

Pour : It was well maintained.
Contre : The bill -- Over $300 per night for a two bedroom apartment far from the beach.
Hotel was way overpriced for the value! The beach is not that great and the area restaurants were old and average with the exception of the Rock House.

Dirty and Poorly Cared For

Pour : Tybee Island is still a great place to vacation on, but don't stay here.
Contre : Dirty and nothing works
Emplacement : No view, your balcony opens on an alley
Family of 4 from Charlotte area came down for a getaway. Air conditioner didn't work. Dryer didn't work. Three days into our stay a guy comes by and looks at the dryer - says he will send a service tech out to fix, no one shows. No one ever showed for the air conditioner. Luckily it was fairly cool. Called the front desk who seemed exasperated and apathetic. A word to the wise, there are three hotels that make up the complex, do your best to steer clear of this entire complex. The whole complex is dirty and poorly cared for. None of the security gates worked - you can walk right off the street into the complex.

I would recommend summer winds to anyone. Balcony was setup very nice. we had 3 days of total relaxation. teenagers loved it as well as adults.

Beach vacation
Publié le 4 août 2009Convenient location to the beach, but most rooms really don't have a good "ocean view". This is a multi-unit condominium. I'm sure each unit is different, but our unit was in need of some repairs (peeling paint/wallpaper). You really need to plan on bring your own supplies for longer stays (minimal toilet paper, garbage bags are provided). There was a $160 cleaning fee that was assessed on check in above all fees paid to travel online. It was functional for our family of six, but certainly not luxury accomodations.
