The problem with Udapuir is that the hotels are scattered everywhere so it is difficult to find anything near the centre of the city. This hotel included. It is in the middle of nowhere. To make matters worse for international tourists the English among staff and the sole restuarant is not great. I think this hotel is mainly for locals. The only restaurant in the hotel had pretty bad service. We ordered something and the guy we asked spent his time speaking to colleagues and we never got it. When I tried to raise this no one understood me and I was offered a phone to type in my question so it could be translated. Not a problem for a local but for a four star hotel? I asked for taxi service at the front desk and was told the hotel does not offer this - even to the airport. Given how far the hotel is from the city we had to get tuk tuk there and back, again not ideal. No bar. It was not the hotel's fault but the pool was taken from 9am until it closed at 7pm by one family who were splashing and loud so no one else could use it. I do not know if I have an answer to that but it wss a right pain given the heat. The room was nice and bed comfy.

Sonali provided us great service and experience. However, transportation and other external hotel services can be improved.

Terrible service with terrible and over priced food. Cheap unclean rooms and overpriced food is their business model. The staff is limited, not trained and the ones at the front office don't care about anything nor do they understand the basic concept of hospitality. There is a struggle to even get water in the room.

Other than House Keeping everything was very good. House keeping was very lousy even after multiple calls things are not done. Rest all very good.
