Nice Property in Poor Condition

First the good: the park is lovely, and very scenic. The pool was out of order, but arrangements had been made to use an indoor pool at a nearby town, which was lovely. While the house itself was spacious, the property was very dirty and not well maintained. (I was the first to shower in the downstairs bathroom upon arrival, and my feet were filthy just walking the 10ft or so to the bed, and the towel I laid on floor outside the shower was discolored from the mold/mildew/dirt on the floor when I picked it up.) All the floors on the main level were as if they had not been cleaned in ages, and the shower was honestly disgusting. We reported that the stove ignitor didn't work (as well as a few other things) on night 1 of 8, but nothing was ever fixed or addressed. Wear and tear on a rental is to be expected, but the dirt and disrepair were very disappointing. There were broken/inoperable window shades, the range hood and house exhaust fan didn't work, we were told to buy a lighter to use the stove (which, again, was never fixed), one bed was missing a leg, etc. The upholstered furniture in the living and kitchen was quite dirty and stained (we told the park about a chair that looked like it had vomit on it, but nobody followed up with anything). All in all, I would recommend the Poort Van Amsterdam park, but definitely would not recommend this particular property!

Regarding cleaning, if found dissatisfactory on arrival, please notify the keyholder immediately so that additional cleaning can be provided to make corrections. In any case, the housekeeping team have been informed to be more diligent with the cleaning. Regarding all defects reported on departure, they have been inspected and repaired accordingly.
