Totally secluded surrounded by waterfalls, brooks, cliffs and forest
This 30’ diameter Yurt is a stunning space to rejuvenate and be in nature.
You will hear the sound of the waterfall across, and take long walks on the 120 acre property.
Vibrant nature with turkey and deer visitors, hummingbirds and hawks, foxes and eagles, you will be in good company!
The Yurt sleeps 4, one queen size bed and 2 twin size bed plus sofa pull outs, that are twins .
It is one open space with a large circular skylight in the center of the ceiling that floods the space with light and 4 glass windows, the bathroom is a room inside the yurt with a shower, sink and toilet.
The Yurt has its own well and it located on 120 acres that you are welcome to hike.
The circular shape is very comforting, it makes you feel hugged.
The ceiling in the center is 14’ high.
Grill ,small fridge under counter, large toaster oven and 3 cooking plates, coffee maker, tea water heater, spices, cookware, silverware, table ware… grill, all you could possibly need is available to you.
This Yurt is a tent-like circular structure built out of wood beams and wall lattice covered with fabric and isolation, the floor is engineered wood, and there are 5 wall panels that are built out of wood for windows and entrance door. Please don’t book this place if you are afraid of animals. you are in nature and there are many little insects, spiders, ants and mice, …., it’s natural you’re in a tent there are deer turkey, foxes and eagles ...
So if You have an issue with mice spiders ants and so on I will not give you a refund if you feel uncomfortable thank you for understanding it is a tent, a very luxurious one!
Snow and yurt : the yurt heats up very nice
I have the driveway snowplowed, but that does not mean it's always safe.
Be prepared if there is a snowstorm or ice storm that you have to park your car at the main rd and walk down the driveway, its about a 5 min walk. if you decide to drive down anyway and get stuck, it will cost about $350 to get you out.
There is a medicine wheel out in front of the lawn and a fire pit.
you are close to New Paltz and Kingston 10 to 15 min, Woodstock 30min Rhinebeck 30 min. The best of both worlds
Please know that the water fall and all the water seen on the pictures have more or less water depending on season, if there is a drought there will be no water in the streams. Please collect your wood for the fire pit in the Forrest or bring it , Because of the intense woodburning amount I cannot longer provide the outside which I do provide it would bricks for the wood burning oven inside. Please only use the inside and not for the outside fire pit thank you
I just put in a washer and dryer !
Please no camping no parties no large gatherings thank you very much

My Son’s Birthday Weekend
My son and I had an amazing birthday weekend at the Yurt. The seclusion was exactly what we were looking for, offering the perfect escape from the city. The surroundings were peaceful and allowed us to fully enjoy nature. The Yurt itself was clean, cozy, and well-equipped for our needs. Gisela, the owner, was wonderful to communicate with—she was always responsive, friendly, and helpful both over the phone and through messages. We truly felt taken care of. I highly recommend this Yurt for anyone looking to unwind in a beautiful, private setting.

This property was absolutely beautiful. The grounds are well kept and the yurt itself was very clean. It was such a relaxing place to be and the grounds provide a great space to explore. I stayed here with two friends for our anual girls trip and we were very impressed! Our host was easy to get in touch with and provided plenty of information ahead of time. This place was a 10/10 for our weekend stay.

Perfect Getaway
Very remote and peaceful Yurt. The whole space is beautiful, access to mini hikes. Try to book longer than a few nights, once you get comfy you won't want to leave so take advantage.

Unique , artsy, comfortable, scenic, secluded! The host makes your stay inviting with all the comforts of home . The bathroom is clean and modern , not what you’d expect in a tent ! There are multi outdoor seating options, bbq , fire pit, with a waterfall in view if the front door ! Gisela ( the host) is an artist, architect ( designed the Yert )& poet ( “just like that “ a poetry book she wrote is there for sale ). Lovely experience, definitely recommend !

A great and unique getaway not far from home
A wonderful and fun experience in a secluded and beautiful spot! We brought our dog who loved exploring the property, laying in the sun on the porch, and exploring trails and towns nearby. Amazing, relaxing stay!
My boyfriend and I went for a weekend getaway, looking for an excluded place to stay and the yurt was perfect! We loved making a fire at night, sitting on the porch having our coffee in the morning and exploring the waterfall in the backyard. Really really great stay!

Absolutely the BEST WEEKEND EVER!
We stayed at the yurt for a getaway weekend. From the moment you pull up, you are in awe of the property! It was covered in snow and just absolutely beautiful. The yurt itself was impeccable and every special touch was taken to make the property welcoming, comfortable, and special. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you could have possible needed as well as instruction manuals. The beds were so comfortable and tons of extra blankets were included so that you were cozy and warm. The fireplace made the whole experience so special. We will ABSOLUTELY be coming back to the property! Thank you Gisela for an amazing weekend!

Magical!
What a beautiful and magical place and setting! Everything you need is inside or outside the yurt and the decor was perfect. Initially staying 3 nights and asked if we could stay a 4th, even before arriving. It was booked but we were blessed with a blanket of snow which pushed the new guests a day and we were there for the 4th night! Gisele is the best host, responding super quickly. The driveway was plowed completely the next day for our departure too. I normally don’t return to places I’ve been no matter how great, but this is a must. I’d love to see it in all the seasons! This was our first get away together after being together for 2 months and brought us even closer! For sure 5 stars!

Magical Reset
We absolutely felt recharged after our stay! The setting is so so peaceful… literally across from the front door is a lovely small waterfall and a place to lounge or star gaze. You can hear the quiet and birds. Inside the bed was very comfy and cozy. We found all we needed in the kitchen. We lit the wood burning stove and were very cozy. There are other heaters if you don’t know how to use the stove or don’t want too and they were extremely effective without the stove. The shower was warm and inviting. We really love this place and will come again. I almost don’t want to write such a great review because I wish we could keep it all for ourselves! Gisela was very quick to respond as well! We brought our own wood, and I would recommend bringing kindling or fire starters to make beginning the fire a bit easier, (we didn’t because I forgot to think of that) but we managed without. It’s really the best of both worlds, comfort of warmth and water and comfy bed but in nature and so peaceful. Artfully decorated too!

Exciting and Unique
When choosing a yurt as a place to stay for our visit to the Rhinebeck fiber festival, we knew our destination would be out of the ordinary. BUT, WOW! This place was beautifully decorated with funky collections and displays, full/modern amenities, excellent instructions for all of the appliances/equipment, and great hiking and outdoor spaces to enjoy. What a gorgeous waterfall that can be viewed right from the patio. I will definitely book again and can’t recommend this destination enough. So many fun surprises and cozy accommodations. Sue Carney

Phenomenal Experience!
My husband and I celebrated our anniversary at this beautiful property with our dog! We had never stayed in a Yurt so we were cautiously optimistic! Directions to the property were perfect and the exterior was very inviting! There is a large grassy area with hammocks and lawn chairs that overlook a babbling brook and nearby waterfall. The deck was beautifully decorated with lights, Adirondack chairs, a grill, extra wood and tables. We gained entry through the lock box and entered an exquisitely designed space that had all the amenities necessary. The temperature was easy to control with heat or air conditioning and surprisingly no bugs or mosquitos! There are plenty of hiking trails nearby and tourist sites within 30 minutes if the peace and tranquility of the Yurt isn’t enough. I would highly recommend this stay to anyone looking to decompress and reconnect with nature!
