Publié le 3 janv. 2016 sur ExpediaI wasn't even able to stay at this hotel because when I arrived, the hotel said they had double booked me. They were rude and unwilling to help me sort it out. Thankfully, I was able to call Expedia and they arranged for me to stay elsewhere during my trip.
The Milkwood Mansion is completely unorganized and the management is very unpleasant to deal with. I would not recommend it.

Nice house, lovely room, service needs attention
Publié le 28 oct. 2015 sur HotelsWe had a comfortable stay. Milkwood Mansion is a lovely house situated in a upmarket suburb close to shopping malls and in close proximity to the beach. It is a stone throw to central Durban. There is a beautiful distant view of the ocean from the balcony. The room was suitable for a family with two queen beds. However, more attention needed to be paid to detail. It seemed as though the room hadn't been properly cleaned. The toilet roll was not replenished nor was there soap, bath floor towel, etc in the bathroom. Towels and hand lotion was provided and changed daily but on one of the days two of the four towels looked dirty. There were no floor mats in the bedroom either. Even after discussing these matters with the owner, not much was done to rectify the situation. It is a beautiful house. Just needs for the owners to pay attention to detail and the finer aspects within the service industry. Not able to comment on breakfast since we went out for breakfast daily.

Zu Fuss 20 Minuten vom Strand entfernt.
Zu Fuss 30 Minuten in das Umhlanga-Zentrum.
Für Fahrten nach Durban und Umgebung Mietwagen nötig.

Have a car to make your mobility easy as there are no easy taxis nearby & shops are a distant. Besides this, you will love the place

Weekend away at Milkwood Mansion

The room was clean, apart from the shower which could have been a little cleaner in the nooks and the bottom frame of the door. The water heaters (heat pumps) are quite noisy. All in all the B&B was relaxed and friendly and good value for money. My rating is about a 2.5 to 3 star.
