A secluded family home at the top of a long driveway. Wooded property in the Cherokee National Forest, Watauga Ranger District, with mountain views, front, and back. Large fenced-in backyard with fire ring, play structure for kids, and back porch and patio with grill and accessories. Excellent front porch! Upstairs: open-living space with two bedrooms, a fully-stocked kitchen, and two full bathrooms. There is space for the entire family to relax, play games, watch movies. One large bedroom downstairs with a queen bed, futon, full bath, 40 inch T.v. The upstairs garage has exercise equipment, children's toys, outdoor games, etc. Closet space in second upstairs b/r is large and could accommodate a toddler or baby bed. Pack-and-play, clip-on high chair, changing pad provided. Additional reviews can be seen on another platform : )

Special family weekend
The house was more beautiful than the pictures. Clean, spacious, comfy beds, hot showers and an amazing kitchen! So much space to spread out and find a comfy space to read or unwind. We arrived a day ahead of Hurricane Helene and survived this horrific storm in this well built home. Coming from Nee England, we had never experienced a storm of this fierce magnitude but we see thankful that we were in such a safe house. This property is a hidden gem and we truly enjoyed everything about it. Excellent communication and care from the host. Thank you for sharing your home…we will be back to explore the National Parks and will stay with you again.

A pleasant stay
Overall it was a nice stay. We had fun watching the deer and exploring the area. The only disappointment was that there was no playset in the yard. Our daughter and grandchildren came up for one night and that would have been appreciated it.

Only issue we had was there was a mix up with the cleaning people when we got there. Julie took care of it immediately and did everything she could for the situation and no hick ups after that. Nice stay! Accommodations were perfect for us! Great location

Stunningly spectacular
We were three couples coming to the Johnson City area to fish. This house was absolutely perfect. Plenty of room for vehicles and boats. Located only 12 minutes from downtown Johnson City. Peaceful setting with a view. The house itself was huge with more than enough storage. We could actually settle in with everything put away so that we really did feel right at home. They had everything we needed including plenty of wine glasses! The host was responsive and we will stay here the next time we are in the area.

Family stay for funeral
We had a sudden and unexpected loss in the family and we needed a place to have family come into town and stay. We wanted a place where we could come together as a family to reflect on the loss of our brother. This cool house on the top of a quiet mountain did the trick. We hung out for the week while we worked out the arrangements for our brothers funeral. The location was peaceful and quiet which provided ample time to hang out around a campfire. Ms. Julie was very sweet and made sure that we had everything we needed. There was a very nice golf course just down the road that provided a place to go hang out with my youngest brother. The house was super cozy and the sunroom was a very relaxing place to sit and talk while the kids played games at the kitchen table. The whole experience helped take some of the sting out of the loss in our family and we are grateful for the opportunity to stay here. Thanks Craig Miller

Relaxing Retreat
Enjoyed our stay! Woodstove made it cozy on the chilly mornings. Nice neighborhood, very peaceful. Feels remote but is close to JC shopping, restaurants and hiking trails. Didn't need to contact host for anything although they let us know they were there if needed. Would recommend!

We loved it!
The home is beautiful and spacious, the view is stunning! We loved watching the deer come up in the driveway to eat acorns and watching the chipmunks play. Very nice neighborhood, quiet and great for morning walks. We enjoyed our stay so much, thanks!

This is a great house in a great neighborhood. The home is on a large lot with lots of privacy. Loved the kitchen, and the cozy sun room. The property manager, Julie, was easy to communicate with, and quick to respond to questions. We will return!

Unexpected Fungi Heaven! Wonderful property!
New listing and sounded perfect. We gave it a shot and we're not disappointed. This house was way above our expectations. If you've ever fantasized about about a private wooded Tennessee cabin in the hills or playing a fiddle barefoot on the top of a hill....(I did it!)in TN, you are in luck. We could a just stayed at the cabin. Sleeps many more than advertised. Has so much music art and history in the cabin. Our vacation was off from the start. No electricity the second night due to storms but owners were super responsive and helpful. Major Bonus!! If you are a mycologist or Fungi-phile like me...just walk in the woods. Every color and type was there! It was totally the bright spot to my vacation...second to seeing my new grandbaby. Will stay again!

Little Mountian Get Away
This was the perfect house in the mountains for a getaway. The house was very cute, and provided plenty of space for two families (7 total) to spend a weekend roasting hot-dogs and making s'mores. Our boys will remember this getaway for a long time. We hope to stay again soon.

Location, Location, Location!
This beautiful property sits in a naturally secluded area, yet with all the amenities of home (board games, playset for kids, exercise machine, hand weights, and toys in the garage, outdoor deck/patio/grill/fire pit). The house itself is spotless and thoughtfully designed and decorated for a peaceful rest. The many sitting areas throughout the house allow quiet space for reading a book, playing a game, playing/listening to music, or watching a movie. The open concept of the house makes it possible to cook and enjoy being together all at the same time. Our teens thoroughly enjoyed claiming the lower level for their space, which has its own bathroom and TV. We stayed at the home to attend a wedding in Johnson City, and it was only a 10 minute drive to the downtown area. It was less than 15 minutes to grocery shopping and restaurants. We cannot say enough about this fabulous home and area of the country. We would love to come back when we have more time and explore some of the many hiking trails in the area! The gracious host of the home was wonderful to work and responded immediately to our questions when booking and checking in/checking out. We highly recommend this property!

Johnson City Visit
Amazing property that words don’t describe. Close to anything you want in the area but feel like you are in your own private mountain when at the lodge. Hosts were very welcoming and helpful. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting the area and will 100% stay again when we return.
