We will take responsibility for not investigating further the location, nothing was walking distance. The room was quite small, the bed being a double not a queen, the internet was none existent, there was no one at the property when we arrived, and no fan or air conditioning. We could here people walking above us and conversation beside us, and the blinds and curtains for the windows also not working

Sue--You are correct that we are on a 12-acre hobby farm in a rural area, with the closest convenience store 2-3 km away and Courtenay 16km from us. Some of the other points you make are a bit confusing to me, since the bed is a queen bed, and we even provide an internet booster in the lounge area, which is right next to the room you had. While some guests have had log-in questions on occasion with certain devices, all are able to log onto wifi with a decent signal. With our location on the water, we have never used any air conditioning; guests rarely even use the portable fans that are in the closets of each room, as our evenings are quite cool here even in the hottest of months. With windows open, it is possible to hear that people are above or next to you, but most do go to bed early since a b&b attracts pretty docile guests who are not up partying late. I'm not sure what you mean about blinds not working. They have worked fine for guests before and after you. There are regular blinds on the French doors with sheer curtains on a tension rod to soften the look; they pull across just fine. While I'm sorry you were clearly not pleased here, I just needed to clarify the points you make so others are not misled. While I'm sorry we could not be here to greet you, we did provide our cell numbers in our welcome note. We did not hear from you at all, and were frankly quite surprised to discover you had left without a note; I had made breakfast for you both. Again, it is regrettable that you did not like Two Eagles and did not have the same positive experience as so many of our other guests because we work very hard to make our place comfortable and a home-away-from-home experience that has earned us many awards. Again, it is regrettable that your experience was not what you expected.

A fabulous B&B on Vancouver Island

I had a wonderful, restful stay here. Carolyn & Steve were excellent hosts. I woke up to the most beautiful waterfront view and great breakfast every morning! Room very comfortable and spotless. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.

Charming hosts, a lovely location

Pour : The hosts try hard to make the stay enjoyable, & for the most part, succeed.
Contre : The rooms, especially the bathrooms are rather small. A more conventional breakfast might have lived up to previous reviews.
Emplacement : Readily available tourist material is in the communal lounge area. Carolyn & Steve are also very knowledgeable about the area.
About 15 mins from nearest town, Courtenay, with a spectacular view, this was a pleasant experience. At the time we went the onshore breeze made for a cooler day.

We only wish our stay was longer!

My husband and I were in a rush and only got to stay here for one night, but it was amazing! We had an early flight and the owners even offered to make us a breakfast for the road. Stunning area, beautiful room and the hosts were great. Such a quiet, peaceful area. Will definitely stay here again when we're back!
