Location! Location! Location!
Publié le 7 sept. 2024 sur HomeAwayThis property is close to everything--New Buffalo beach and Stray Dog, Warren Dunes, the farmer's markets--and for those who prefer a pool to a beach, the pool and hot tub at this home are fabulous!!! Loved it so much, we hope to come back for a week next year (instead of a long weekend).

Awful Experience with Owner
Publié le 20 août 2024 sur HomeAwayI rented this property and unfortunately, due to my stepdad's illness and subsequent passing which happened the day of checkin, we were unable to use the rental. We were just a couple of days past the refund window and reached out to the owner, explaining our situation and hoping for some understanding. Unfortunately, the owner refused to issue even a partial refund or assist in relisting the property, citing concerns about his ranking on VRBO.
While I understand the importance of cancellation policies, it was disheartening to experience such a lack of empathy during a very difficult time for our family. Even VRBO representatives suggested that the owner reconsider, but he insisted that we should have purchased insurance and did not offer any further assistance.
I would caution others to be aware that this owner may not be flexible or understanding in unforeseen circumstances.

Great family reunion spot

Everything was great!

The only thing that was a little strange, is that our checkin was at 4 and the cleaning people were still there til about 4:30, it was only 2 guys and a very large house so its understandable and they did a great job but we did need to get in right at check in so that felt a little awkward.
Overall it was a great place, would definitely stay again!

Fabulous Home
Publié le 21 févr. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe had an absolute fabulous stay in this beautiful home. The home was immaculate and offered so many incredible features. It truly is the perfect getaway for small or large groups. We appreciated the thoughtful touches and amazing amenities and it was a great location close enough to travel hot spots while being far enough away to truly feel like it was a getaway. The beds were very comfortable and the little areas of the home allowed for awesome time apart from the larger group. I would only make two small suggestions ...adjust the posting on the site to not reflect a room with 3 king beds as we were counting on that in our plans and were surprised to see it was not there in the actual home layout. There were so many beds in the home that it didn't cause a problem for our stay but would recommend adjusting the posting so it does not upset future guests. I would also recommend posting the wifi password and any checkout requests in the home. We had an incredibly quick response from the owner when we asked for it but if it were in the home it would avoid having to bother the owner. Again these were minor recommendations to an overall amazing and fabulous stay and experience.
