The new owner is fixing up this very nice lodge and the people are so friendly it immediately feels like home. The food! Outstanding! Careful with the cinnamon buns because you will eat more than one!

The Mountainview Lodge property was beautiful, and the owners were friendly. The cabin rooms were dated but very clean. The property is under new ownership and the new owners are doing a fantastic job so far!

Terrible service, drove all the way to lodge, office was closed, vehicles there and would not answer door or respond to vehicle horn. Hotels .com made numerous telephone calls and we did too but they would not answer and vacancy sign, still showed vacancy and then they had the nerve to say we were a no-show.

Room was stinking and bed had bugs our bodies started itching so bad...tried to talk to the lodge people their reaction was terrible instead..

I am terribly sorry you feel your experience was bad at our lodge. We have been in business for many decades and have never had a problem with bugs. There are no bugs at our lodge or in our beds. Never have been. I did suggest that the long drive you advised you had prior to arrival and the cool, dry mountain air is likely the reason your skin was dry. It could also have been from the long drive itself. Travelling can become taxing to ones skin moisture level, in our experience. During your short stay at our lodge we were not disrespectful to you even though you disturbed two of our guests who had adjoining rooms late in the night. We also returned your damage deposit to you even though damage was done to your room during your stay and the septic system was also damaged which created a huge expense to our facility. We were almost filled to capacity during your stay and all of our guests, some returning guests, others new guests, were extremely satisfied with their rooms and our facilities. They also expressed how impressed they were with our staff and the above average service in their independent reviews. As new owners of an established facility, we have renovated and upgraded the rooms prior to your arrival which have been a big hit with our returning guests and our new guests. We are very disappointed that you were not able to appreciate the effort we have gone to for the comfort of our guests. We want you all to feel as if you are in the comfort of your own home and have gone to great lengths to make sure your personal treatment by ouryour accommodations are superb. Yours is the first, while unwarranted, complaint. We are very disappointed and wish your time here was more enjoyable for you and your wife. I am sorry that your stay was not as spectacular as it is for past and present guests who have given us a high rating.

Not a good experience I booked online for $90. Once I reached there person at front end said room is $169 they he said lowest he can offer is $125.

Staff was warm, and extremely friendly. Amenities were not what we were expecting. Beds were uncomfortable. Bathroom really "worn" looking.
