Le personnel est vraiment sympathique et accueillant! Nous avons adoré le repas de Noël servi le soir du 25 décembre dans le chaleureux décor du restaurant! Le déjeuner inclus de style "pour emporter" était parfait pour bien commencer la journée. Il nous a été très pratique! Excellent camp de base pour un séjour de randonnée dans les Adirondacks. Nous y retournerons certainement! Petite mention spéciale aux délicieux biscuits qui étaient dans notre petit sac d'accueil avec la clé de notre chambre! C'était une belle attention!

Publié le 23 août 2022 sur HotelsThe Inn is comfortable and well run although we met no one from the team. They are still on Covid mode. The Inn is in dear need of renovation and is running a fumes of past glory. Each room has ear plugs so that we are not bothered by our neighbours. We can easily hear everything going on next door. There is also a strong smell of "humidity" in the rooms and I encountered bed bugs in my carpet. Finally, the WIFI is very spotty and not working very well. It' s a good excuse to read that book you've put off for so long. This is the type of lodging you would stay if there is nothing else available.

We are sorry that you didn't enjoy your stay - although "comfortable and well-run" are good compliments! :) We bought this little vintage inn ten years ago and have been steadily renovating ever since. In fact, we only have ONE older room left! The room you rented has a new bathroom with a lovely tiled shower/tub unit, beautiful furniture, AC, and I can assure you, no bedbugs! (We check regularly) We do, however, have lots of insects in the wilderness and they do sometimes find their way inside! As you stayed on a weekend, we had staff around throughout the days and the office was open every evening. I'm not sure why you didn't meet anyone, but most likely, you arrived before office hours, did a self check-in and then didn't return to the office. As we state in our confirmation email, we are a small family-run business so we don't have a 24/7 front desk, but our personal cell phone number is posted everywhere. We do have the very best high-speed WiFI available in our area with several boosters On August weekends, thousands of travelers come to the valley and with the heavier use on the overall system, it can glitch more. But usually, it works well for our guests' needs. A quick read of our other reviews and a glance at our room photos will show that we take great pride in our little piece of Adirondack heaven. We aren't the Marriott, but neither are our rates! We strive to be clean, comfortable, friendly, and reasonably priced. We clearly weren't a match for you, but we wish you well and hope you enjoyed your time in this lovely area.

L'hotel devrait enlever le tapis dans les chambres, surtout celles avec les chiens.
Beaucoup de poussière et ça sent énormément l'humidité dans la chambre.
Le lit est comfortable.
Salle de bain propre.
La vue est magnifique et c'est un endroit très calme et intime

Thank you for your review. We are happy that you enjoyed the view and the peaceful setting that we so love. I'm not sure what room you stayed in, but we have replaced the carpet in all of our upgraded rooms. We only allow pets in 2 rooms so if you have allergies, please be sure to select a non-pet-friendly room! As far as the moisture, the past few weeks have been unusually humid and rainy, so all buildings in the Adirondacks are struggling with moisture and dampness. All of our upgraded rooms have AC through the summer/early fall months which helps to "dry out" the air in those rooms. We are vigorous in our cleaning and making sure there is no mold or any other issues relating to the rainy weather. Thank you for your feedback! We hope to host you again soon and be sure to book an upgraded room!
