There is no shortage of "Pousada's", or bed and breakfasts, in the Urubici area. It seems to be the main cottage industry (pun kind of intended). This was a great place though, off the beaten track so it was very quiet and private. However, it was still just a few minutes from the main road and a great launching point for local attractions.
The cabins themselves are very cute, comfortable, and well maintained. The common area was equally welcoming, in good repair, and clean.
The hosts were wonderful. They provided us a very tasty breakfast with their home made jams and juice. Given the time of the year, we were also presented with tasty "pinho" which were baked on the top of their wood stove in the common area.
The hosts also provided us great recommendations on places to visit and things to do. They were very knowledgeable about things that people like us would like to do and were very generous with their suggestions.
Overall, this was an excellent experience and we will certainly stay there again.
