Good choice for stay in Urumuqi

Clean and comfortable room, heat and hot water works well as I visit this hotel during winter, friendly hotel staff help us arrange one-day trip in Tianshan and the second day very early morning hotel pick-up to airport. Breakfast is great with Chinese and Western style cuisine. Hotel locates downtown Urumuqi with a big shopping mall just cross hotel parking lot. Overall I am satisfied with my 3-day staying at this hotel.

The only negative thing about this Hotel is that despite we were accommodated on the Non-smoking Floor, the corridor is often filled with cigarette smoke which also found their way into the room. Very annoying and unhealthy.

Great facilities, not so great location

Contre : While breakfast is extensive, there is not much option for Westerners. Some healthy cereal would be an improvement, e.g. muesli
Loved the room - great facilities, comfortable bed. A nuisance that you couldn’t just walk out of the hotel to take a pleasant stroll. Needed to take a taxi everywhere, and while they are very cheap, it makes it a bit more of an effort to go out. Hardly any English is spoken so Westerners need to make sure they get hotel staff to write down where you wish to go for the taxi driver.

Good Alternative to American Brands

The hotel is very modern and clean. The breakfast buffet was so good I also did the dinner buffet which was equally as good. Y126 for hotel guests. It is walking distance (longish) to the famous provincial museum, but it is closed Mondays, the day I was there. It was a very easy walk to Red Hill aka Red Mountain Park. Pleasant walk to the top and back. Get directions to the North Gate. My only annoyance was that it was very hard to find any staff that spoke any English. There were a few but hard, in most cases not terribly fluent. Owned by Korean Accor hotels. Location is very central, but the location on top of the commercial center was kind of strange. But all the commerce nearby was interesting.

10 day visit

I stayed in the hotel for 10 days. The was friendly and helpful. Only thing that is a not very inconvenient is that I have to walk to the street to find taxi.

Wash basin leaking , bathroom water doesn’t flow. Toilet doesn’t flush well
