We loved this place. We are avid tent campers (and hikers) but we are now late 60's in age and wanted a similar experience but with more comfort this time. This place fit the bill perfectly. We especially loved the privacy. There are 2 other cabins nearby for rental, however they are both out of sight and earshot. An important feature for us was a lovely campfire spot. The property also had a wonderful view to Mica Mountain. The cabin looks new and is in very good and comfortable condition. There was only one small drawback for us, which is that we did not like the taste of the wellwater. Fine for cooking/showering, but if we come back (which we definitely would!) we would bring our own drinking/coffee/tea water. But that is only a very minor inconvenience. Others may not have a problem with it at all. The hosts were both lovely people. Thank-you for accomodating us.

We stayed at the Bear Cabin and it was absolutely the nicest and most relaxing place. The cabin is beautiful and extremely clean. It feels like home and all the little details, such as the xmas tree and fire place, make it feels like home. The host Elke is very nice and welcoming. I rate this 10/10 and there is not even one thing I would change about the stay and the cabin itself. We spend 2 nights there, but next time I will for sure add one more night to the trip.

Publié le 24 oct. 2021 sur HomeAwayWe really had a good stay at the bear cabin. The only ‘not quite as advertised’ item was that when we read free wifi we assumed that meant in the cabin. But it is only outside the lodge/office area that you can get wifi. The cabin was very clean and comfortable (will be even more so when Covid related delivery issues allow Elke to replace the tired couch and chair) The recommendations of near by hikes were right on for interest and difficulty level. We would love to come back during a different season when more things are open and to see some different sights.

We work hard to bring the WIFI to the cabins to meet the demand. As per listing it is available for free outside the lodge. Due to our remote location there are no options available at this time. Cell phones work at the cabin so one can always use their data plan to create a hot spot if needed. When I go on a trip I always buy some extra data of course not everywhere on this planet it is readily available:) Lovely seating options are available outside the lodge for now. We look forward to our new couch and chair, yet covid delivery is 5 months minimum. Nothing one can do about it and both items are fine till the new arrival.

Peace & Quiet!
Publié le 26 août 2019 sur HomeAwayIf you want peace & quiet with beautiful views, this is the cabin to rent. The internet is only available at the lodge - not in each cabin. My wife & I enjoyed our time in this beautiful cabin.
