Ride from hell
Publié le 16 sept. 2024 sur HotelsI was there for a wedding, they offered a shuttle from the hotel to the venue. They only made 3 trips before and after the event. The van’s capacity was 8-9 people. When I asked the driver to turn on the a/c she refused. It was 87 outside and 107 in the van. Two operational windows down, hair frizzing up and makeup running. The room was not very clean, baseboards hadn’t been cleaned in at least a month, what does that say about the bed spread. The tub was stained from hard water, along with the caulking around the tub. I will definitely not be staying at the Valparaiso Best Western again. The photos of the room didn’t show my disgust. Buildings age, they can still be cleaned properly.

Thank you for your response. As we strive to give you a great stay unfortunately we did not meet your expectations. We always want our guest to feel comfortable and pleasant while using our shuttle. We have never experienced such issue about our shuttle in any type of weather. We will look into this. As for the room this is a great shock as we have double inspection in the rooms and our housekeeping staff has been doing great over the past month since the change. We will also look into this room, because we do not want any one else to encounter such issue.

It provided a nice quiet night sleep. Staff was accommodating. Property was clean and safe.

Good, clean hotel. Furniture was a bit dated, but it was clean. I’m sure they would charge more with updated furniture, so I’m not fussed at all about dated furniture as long as it is clean. We had a room on 1st floor which opens to the outside. These rooms are the pet friendly rooms. If you are staying with pets, make sure and call the hotel directly to make sure one of the pet rooms is vacant for your stay. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Pet deposit was $150 refundable and $20 per night for each pet, limit of two pets.
