Don’t rent this house

The house was not clean. There was black mold in the shower, a filthy garage which was our only way in and out, and the place for the washer and dryer. The dryer filter was just caked with old smelly black lint. Dust and dirt everywhere, damp moldy smell, bird droppings on the outside table. A broken down glider of some sort outside, covered with mold. My complaints to VRBO and Hoomy, the company that VRBO foisted our contract to, were unanswered. VRBO wanted me to send “evidence” by email but we had no wifi, which I think was advertised . The VRBO person insisted that he had sent me an email that I was supposed to respond to, but I had no wifi to get email. I gave him a friend’s email but he said he could only send the email to me. It is a shame, the house had once upon a time been a family home but has been neglected for a very long time. If VRBO had been more responsible, they would not have foisted us off on Hoomy. We were very unhappy and disappointed.

Hi Kathleen, thanks for taking the time to leave us a review. I really am sorry to read you feedback, as cleanliness really matters to us, and the house had been cleaned before your arrival. I also understand wifi was an issue for you, but wifi is not advertised in the listing description. It is something we could suggest to the landlord :) You contacted us during your booking, and we asked you some documentation, but we never received it. Again, I am sorry your stay did not go as planned, but without any documentation, it is more difficult to take action... I hope you enjoyed your stay in Vannes and its lovely landscapes.
