Lovely old house with character in rural location; own vineyards supply wine for restaurant. Very helpful staff (all family) speak excellent English and extremely helpful. 25 minutes from airport via Motorway or quiet country roads.

I enjoyed the friendly staff, the history of the place and the serenity of the views. Manolo’s friendliness and passion for storytelling are simply fantastic!

Truly amazing
Publié le 31 oct. 2018 sur HotelsWhat an amazing place. We didn't want to stay in the middle of Satiago, so picked this gem of a vineyard hotel a few miles outside the city. The hotel is full of history and the owner will give you a wonderful story of its history and the vineyard. The rooms are very comfortable and completely in keeping with the age of the building. The lounge area is beautifully appointed and great for a pre dinner drink.
We are there twice and on both occasions the food was wonderful. However you must try their wines - the Albarinos were amazing. Luckily we had our car so were able to bring some home.

Charming hotel that feels like a home
Publié le 15 juin 2018 sur ExpediaOasis of tranquility a close distance from Santiago de Compostela. Beautiful gardens and vineyards, delicious breakfast. Unfortunately it was just a one-night-stop, so we left with some bottles of albariño and a promise to come back soon

My Castle In Spain
Publié le 21 août 2017 sur Expedia
Pour : Everything, staff, facilities, restaurant, etc.
Contre : Hard to imagine any improvements.
Emplacement : We visited Santiago de Compostela, Lugo, and Vigo and went sailing in Vigo Ria. All of Galicia within about an hour's drive, A Coruna, beaches, etc.
Had a very enjoyable stay with my daughter. Hotel in historic building with all modern conveniences and very well kept. Private and public spaces all were great. Our balcony looked out over the vineyard to mountains in the distance. Great base for exploring Galicia, close to Santiago de Compostela, and both coasts. Close to main road for access yet very quiet - slept with windows open. The restaurant is excellent and the (very) local wine is great. I usually try to sample a variety of restaurants, but with all the restaurants of Galicia in reasonable proximity, we wound up eating at the hotel every night. Staff very accommodating, helpful, and friendly. Treated us like royalty (or at least aristocracy). Cannot recommend strongly enough.

An experience of perfection
Publié le 7 juill. 2017 sur Expedia
Pour : Staff, food, accomodation
Emplacement : The Pazo is in the countryside and only 10 min walk off the Camino Sanabres.
When we arrived at the Pazo we were made to feel most welcome. Our room was furnished in a delightful manner with all facilities. We had lunch of salad and pate which was well presented. The owner spoke perfect English and was most obliging, and also gave us a complementary tour of the vineyard and talk on the history of the pazo. We ate in the restaurant at night, the food and the wine (from the vineyard) was delicious, and the cost was very reasonable for the quality we received. The as a most pleasant experience and enjoyable stay.

One of the best hotels we've ever stayed in!
Publié le 14 mai 2016 sur Expedia
Pour : Fabulous room of enormous size, probably 75 sq m! with continuous Windows on two sides, each around 7.5m long. Manalo is the perfect host.
Contre : A shame no elevator to top (third) floor, but worth it when you get there. Our toilet dripped, but it was far enough away not to be a problem!
Emplacement : Has it's own vineyard and very good white wine (nice red too). The Camino is up the road and a beautiful gardens down the road.
We had only booked one night...a pity we didn't know how spectacular this place and its staff were, or we'd booked for longer. A very homely hotel - more like a B and B, with parking at the door and the largest room we've ever stayed in! Night time meal was the best we'd had on this trip and included breakfast very good when compared to elsewhere we've experienced in Spain. Close enough to Santiago to make multiple trips if necessary.
