WHERE DO WE MEET?
We are in a unique enclave, in a practically virgin, kilometric and beautiful beach. Recognized as one of the best beaches in Andalusia for the quality and cleanliness of its waters and sands (Blue Flag), as well as for its splendid sunsets.
El Palmar, in recent years, has become very popular for having an alternative environment-surfer Cool enough, here you live without haste in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, but at the same time quite familiar.
ARE THERE NO WINES OF COOKING?
It is not a problem, our house is minutes walking from many bars and restaurants where they serve the best fish of Cádiz, as well as a brewery, a cafeteria, several pizzerias, etc ...
SHOPS?
In the village of El Palmar, we have a small supermarket, butchers and fishmongers, as well as a pharmacy and a handicraft market where you will find very original "Ibizan" casual beachwear. If you want a large supermarket or for example, clothing stores, you just have to go to the town of Conil (10 minutes by car), there you will find Mercadona, Aldi, Supersol or Día supermarkets and even a Burger-King !!
WHAT TO VISIT?
We are very close (by car) to the unmistakable white villages of Conil de la Frontera and Vejer de la Frontera, or to the beautiful city of Cádiz. A few minutes by car from the beaches of Caños de Meca, Zahora, Barbate or Bologna; enclaves that undoubtedly deserve to be visited for their beauty and historical importance. Do not miss the Roman city of Baelo Claudia (Bologna) or the tomb of Caños de Meca, witness to the famous Battle of Trafalgar.

SURF & BODYBOARD:
El Palmar is known as the surfing epicenter of Andalusia. In wave season (from September to May normally but especially in the winter months) It is the beach that receives more sea in all of Andalusia and therefore, the most surfed (if there are no waves here, you will not find them in 400 kms to the round). El Palmar is a beach with a sandy bottom and multipico, which helps all surfers not concentrate on the same surf. Less than 30 minutes away by car, you will find two of the best waves in Europe, the right of Yerbabuena and the left of Caños de Meca (both rock bottoms, although not dangerous), we also have a lot of less known spots, and less crowded as they are: The small Lulú, The left of the river Barbate, The right of the lighthouse of Trafalgar, Zahora, La Fontanilla, La Fuente del Gallo or Roche. If you come in Winter, do not forget your board! My husband, Manuel, has been surfing this coast for more than 20 years, do not hesitate to contact him to advise you on which beach will be the most suitable according to the weather.
KITESURF or WINDSURF:
-West wind: Your best options to navigate will be: El Palmar beach or Conil beach with onshore wind (from the sea), or the west beach of Caños de Meca with offshore wind (from land, only experts)
- Levante Wind: We will go to the west beach of Caños de Meca with onshore wind (from the sea) or the Salt River of Conil, to navigate in the pond that forms at the mouth (at high tide). Between the Palmar and Conil you can also sail in the open sea but the wind is offshore (of land), so extreme caution is recommended.
