Great ocean view location

Glad I got to stay at this hotel. Picked it for the location since it was close to the harbor. Close to great food and deep sea winery. Room was big and well appointed. Stayed in room 314. Clean and functional. Mini fridge, coffeemaker and microwave were great amenities. Plus the huge balcony overlooking Ventura Harbor Village. Could use a bit of minor maintenance as the screen was detached. Beware that dumpsters are exchanged early in the morning. Holiday inn next door has free breakfast so that might make it worth staying there next time since it was the same room rate.

I don’t think anyone reads this but here goes, I expected a cleaner room from a “four points Sheraton” there was mold and grime in the shower along the shower door and corners. The hand sink handles had gross buildup on the bottom of the handles. I had to fix the toilet when I arrived because it wasn’t working. The power button on the remote didn’t work, I had to turn it on and off manually. I know this is and older hotel and you can tell, lots of touch up needed in the rooms. The bed and pillow were comfortable but 2 pillows needed to be replaced.

Watch out for spiders!

Booked my hotel days in advance. I get there at check in @3 pm they tell me my room wasn't ready, long story short. I didnt get my room till 5pm (2hrs later) then the room wasn't clean there were stains in the carpet dirty sheets and ran across a spider. I got another room without spiders and there were still stains in the carpet. For this hotel to be rated a ☆☆☆ hotel with those conditions they should be rated way less then that!
