Has potential
Publié le 29 mai 2023 sur HotelsWe stayed in the cottage. The location was beautiful and the view breathtaking. Our host Jeff was lovely, prepared a light healthy breakfast each day and always had a recommendation for our day trips.
At first glance, the cottage was nicely furnished and neat. However, we were disappointed and felt uncomfortable due to the lack of cleanliness of the bathroom, kitchenette and cabinets. The drinking glasses had obvious marks from previous guests. A dirty vacuum cleaner was in the middle of the bedroom closet.
If you plan to arrive by a nice car, you should know that Whitford House can only be reached by an unpaved road.

Dear Kai,We are sorry to read that you were dissatisfied with the cleanliness of the bathroom and kitchenette. We always clean prior to every guest stay and we do everything in our power to make the guest experience a memorable one. If a guest is uncomfortable with any aspect of his accommodations, it is the guest’s responsibility to mention such so that we may have the opportunity to correct the issue, which we would have gladly done. For a guest to so drastically deduct points on a review is both unfair and irresponsible.Furthermore, there is a notice in the kitchenette that states that kitchenware is often only hand washed by guests and does not always go into the dishwasher in the main house. Both dish soap and sponge are available for guest use in case one wishes to rewash prior to use.We admit that we do not wash or vacuum the exterior of the vacuum cleaner on a regular basis, which is located in the closet in case of guest mishaps. We plan to immediately clean it so that it looks more presentable and we thank you for bringing this to our attention.As for our dirt road, yes, Whitford House is located in the Vermont countryside. Most country roads are unpaved. To portray this fact in a negative light is also unfair and not worthy of comment.In conclusion, we do everything we can to make the guest experience a wonderful one. However, we cannot read minds. If a guest is unwilling to bring an issue to our attention, it is not right to denounce the B&B in a review. One unfair review dramatically reduces our rating and causes us irrevocable harm.

the best BB in the Vermont..

So the view of this house is fantastic, with also lot of visits around , hiking , and close by Burlington a great city.. i extremely recommend for this nice , quiet place and warm welcome

Beautiful guest house - spacious with modern amenities but old, rural charm in keeping with the country setting. Extensive grounds furnishing privacy and Mountain View’s. Attentive host. Delicious breakfast provided.

Superb hosts and home. Loved everything about it. Beautiful location. Gracious thoughtful hosts. Charm. they even got me some gluten free bread for toast in the morning! We will be back!

Lovely light filled, secluded guest house with magnificent views of fields and mountains yet near to activities and restaurants at Middlebury or Vergennes.

Beautifully remote
Publié le 14 oct. 2018 sur HotelsA delightful Vermont farm out in the country. The facility is very modern and the trees and view were wonderful. It's fairly far from Vergennes, at least a 15 min drive. Otherwise it's a great stay.
