It is an older home and shows in some areas but overall still in good shape. We knew this when we booked it. It was exactly what we were looking for and was perfect for our trip. It is close to the road so you do get some noise from traffic but it was not horrible.

I'd stay again!
Publié le 30 avr. 2024 sur HomeAwayMy family enjoyed the stay! The home is convenient to the casino but quiet. I would stay there again. Communication with the host was 5 star throughout the week we were there.
I lost a piece of jewelry and it was mailed promptly.

Visiting for the holidays.

The place was drafty. It smelled old/stale. The first bathroom toilet did not flush and there were no electrical outlets. Couldn't plug in the space heater. The heater on the wall was missing the on/off knob and the bathroom was always cold.
The bath towels had multiple stains and holes They didn't smell freshly laundered.
The TV in the middle bedroom didn’t work and the bed didn't have a headboard. The Bedroom pillows were yellow, and the pillowcases needed to be washed.
There were only 2 rolls of toilet paper for 5 people. Two rolls were not enough and there were no extra rolls found.
There was no soap dispenser in the second bathroom but the first bathroom had a dispenser.
There were no wall mirrors except in the bathrooms.
Overall, the place could use some updating and air freshener.

Hi Paula, thanks so much for your review. I see the house wasn't to your liking. We thoroughly clean the home and wash all the bed linens and towels before every check in. All 4 of the TVs and remotes are checked before each stay. The house sleeps up to 11 people and we provide only a starter supply of soap, paper towels, and toilet paper for each stay. It does have alot of charm and character but like any house built in 1949, it is a bit old and drafty. You should have been able to see from the pictures and the description that it is not fully updated. If I had known, I would have gladly put the chain back on the toilet for you. There is also a beautiful new large mirror in the living room. You won't find a cleaner nicer place to stay in Vicksburg for the price especially with the amazing view of the river. Great stay
Publié le 9 sept. 2023 sur HomeAwayWe stayed from Aug 30th to Sept 4th. The rooms were nice and comfortable, the AC kept us nice and cool.
The bedroom next to the bathroom with just the tub, no shower. has an AC that has to be plugged in and unplugged to turn on and off, the power button has no response.
The Master bedroom's bed is a higher than normal but comfortable once you get settled. There isn't any other chair in that room to sit and read. Also, be aware that there is another bedroom, smaller with just a ceiling fan, no window unit to get to the master bedroom. You have to go through. There is a shower in the Master bedroom and a blow dryer in one of the drawers. The dresser had plenty of storage room.
Once you figure out the front door lock and remember to push the lock button, it's a snap. I found the house keys the last days we were there, on the mantle on a thing that reads KEYS. I thought it was decoration until I looked closer.
Even though this property is directly across from Balley's casinos entrance/exit driveway, the house is well insulated.
I will definitely stay here again.
