Grand Teton adventure
Publié le 15 oct. 2024 sur HomeAwayCabin was very cozy and just right for two couples. Upon arrival we did have to do a little cleaning of cobwebs and dust. Grass in the yard was quite high and yard was not as well tended as pictures indicated. We would have enjoyed some hand soap at each sink and some paper towels, however, we loved the grocery store in Driggs and loved shopping there for groceries and necessities. Also would have been nice to have 4 chairs for the firepit instead of just 3! Due to construction on the roads it should be noted that in this area just because it looks like a short distance to other locations travel times more than double since going 25/35 or much less miles per hour. The distance from the airport was well over an hour every time we drove it. Scenery was beautiful but timeframe should be considered if you have reservations or events that you must be on time...you will not make it! Hungry Jack's in Wilson was also a delightful little country store. We stopped there daily. Beds were super comfy. Great time was had by all.

Sept trip
Publié le 4 oct. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe did some cooking there and had no trouble finding what we needed. Bathrooms were well stocked and clean. We slept in the kids room with the thick warm blankets, opened up the windows and slept wonderfully.
The neighborhood was very quiet and I was comfortable walking on the roads.
The drive thru Teton Pass was thoroughly enjoyable both as a driver and passenger.

Cozy stay outside Yellowstone!
Publié le 30 août 2024 sur HomeAwayWe stayed here with 4 adults and 2 children for 2 nights to spend some time in Grand Teton before heading up to Yellowstone. The cabin was perfectly clean and cozy. It had just enough space for all of us. My kids loved the little secret nook under the stairs and the swing set in the back yard! I wish it was closer to the park, but we knew we’d have an hour drive (which was beautiful) when we booked it. Would definitely recommend!

Nice place but
Publié le 19 août 2024 sur HomeAwayHouse was nice, good location. We were notified less than an hour before checkin that the washer wasn’t working. Not a huge deal but kind of an inconvenience since we were on a longer trip hoping to clean clothes. After the fact, property owner said we could have washed clothes at her daughter’s house and that we didn’t say anything about needing it.
Earwigs were everywhere. They were outside and inside and infiltrated our things. I even had one in my hair! She told us it’s due to climate change.
It was hot during our stay and there were no blinds in upstairs windows and no fans to move any air around. Wasn’t going to ruin our stay but could have factored into decision making when planning.
Overall cleanliness wasn’t perfect, cobwebs, dead bugs, crumbs, dirt, dust. Drool marks on decorative pillows on the bed. Wasn’t going to ruin our stay and we cleaned up before leaving better than what we found it. But after our stay owner contacted us saying we didn’t clean up well enough. We had our littles and overlooked a small stain on a duvet cover and she stuck us with a $50.00 charge for a new one.
A nice place and would have stayed there again but after dealing with property owner and the extra charge, it was a frustrating experience.

I understand your frustration and I , for one, do my very best to accommodate my guests.
To be fair, I was there, at the house, right before you came, stayed 10 days, and I can tell you the stain was not there as I just bought the new duvets covers. All the beddings had been washed by me before I left. My house cleaner has been the most thorough cleaner I know. I don’t know how you got the ear wig infestations . Did not notice it at all but one never knows what happens with the sudden change of weather in the valley. I cannot do much about that. Did not notice the bread crumbs, out of the toaster maybe?
The washing machine situation was out of my hands, sadly so. I bought a new one , it was installed right before I left and it has been a lemon from the get go. I did get in touch with you as soon as I could to let you know. My daughter who lives next door would have been happy to let you use hers had I known you needed to do some wash. You booked without mentioning your children, and staying only 2 nights, I assumed you may forgo the wash. I did send a thorough text explaining how to work with the washing machine and told you to be in touch in case you needed help. I thankfully got a new one since then and it works perfectly. I am sorry that you happened to be in the midst of this frustrating washing machine event.
I pride myself on offering a clean and beautiful little home. If I show my pride and with a lot of thoughts that went into it, I expect my guests to appreciate it and take care of it the best they can. I have had very good luck so far.

Good base camp for Tetons
