Not quite what we expected
We have traveled extensively so these comments come tentatively as we have never felt it necessary to give anything but five stars. This property left us feeling oversold. I always try to expect what to expect in the country we are in. Clogged drains, inoperable entry doors, inoperable fixtures, inoperable televisions, no heat, unkept pool, damaged furniture. It was all a bit much. We did sleep better than ever. But I must say, that unless you absolutely need to, pick somewhere else unless you cannot. I didn't mind the tiny dirt road up the side of a cliff to get to the house, but some might. A newby following the directions from the host may well have never found the place. Google/Apple maps will attempt to take you through roads that no longer exist. The good? The little local town is charming. The meals at the gas stations at the bottom of the hill at the highway exit. Of course...Spain. It's the first time I have regret picking a house from VRBO. This felt like a far away uncle's hunting house with a pool we chose not to use because it was dirty. Next time to Malaga I will likely do what I wish not to. Get a hotel room.
