Horrible Customer Service

I had a trip with my mother planned for the first time in almost 7 years. We were scheduled to arrive on the 19th. That day the crowdstrike meltdown happened. I tried calling to explain the situation and the person at the desk couldn’t care less. He was completely uninterested and couldn’t be less helpful. I called several more times and it was the same level of rudeness. When I was finally able to get a person on the line at Hotels.com (and this took days). They cancelled the reservation after hotels.com got involved. They said they would refund me, ad still have not. Basically this hotel will treat you horribly in an extremely stressful situation that is beyond your control and never refund you.

Island goer

Hotel was easy to find off of the Vineyard Haven SSA port. I took my car over. Staff was very friendly and helpful. There is a full kitchen and living room for all guests to use. Small fridge in the room. Room and beds were small, but that is what we selected. Plenty of parking also.

The pictures were deceiving. There wasn’t a pool, or beach on property as the pictures showed! Very expensive for no amenities! Staff was very nice!

Buyer Beware (of online booking)

Still unclear if it was a hotels.com error or a Harbor Landing issue. I had a room booked for 6/21-23/2024. When I went to confirm the reservation and check in process, (I was already en-route to the island) I was told that they had different dates and that they did not have availability for me. I had to scramble to find a new room-which ended up costing me a whole lot of money that I didn’t intend on paying. I believe I have a refund being issued for my ‘non stay’ at Harbor Landing. But this was a HUGE inconvenience and had my family been with me-a disaster. I could go on…. Only got a ‘token’ credit from hotels.com.

Overall it was a good stay. The rooms could use some updating for sure - the curtains had holes in them and the furniture was outdated. With that said, everything was very clean and staff was friendly. Our room was ready early which was great. The one downside was that the hotel was not able to hold our luggage after checkout which made the rest of the afternoon difficult logistically while we were waiting for the ferry.
