The Bay House

The back porch faces the Chesapeake and the dock wihere so much activity takes place. I had 14 in my party and they loved their time in Hallieford. Kayaking, fishing, crabbing, and relaxing were all on the table. The kitchen was spacious and highly efficient. Important if you plan to cook at "home." Highly recommend this house.

Robert and his family were terrific guests. They cared for our house as their own and communicated with us when needed. We would gladly welcome them back to visit at any time.

Best rental ever!
Publié le 19 juill. 2022 sur HomeAwayThis is not just a rental. It is someone's home and we were made very comfortable. Kitchen and all 6 bathrooms very well stocked. Loved the kayaks and other "toys" that were available. New dock allowed us access for crabbing and fishing, and also a place to sit at the water in the evening. Owner was responsive and gracious. House in excellent repair. Would recommended this property to anyone interested in Chesapeake Bay activities. After staying at other VRBO properties, this property stands out. Loved having the teens on the other side of the house!

Richard and his family were great guests. I made a mistake by not sending them the entry code for the house, first time I have ever done that, and they were kind about my mistake. Great people to work with and I appreciated their understanding. They enjoyed the area and were easy to work with throughout the week. We would welcome them back again. Thank you!

Overall nice with a couple exceptions
Publié le 25 avr. 2022 sur HomeAwayVery nice property however was slightly disappointed with the refrigerator leaking, the pullout bed frame was warped or broken, and there was a couple shards of broken glass on the kitchen floor. Expected better maintenance and trouble free for 5he money.

I am sorry to hear that there was glass on the floor in the kitchen. Wow, this isn't good at all. I have a new cleaning crew that started a few weeks ago so I will address this right away. The refrigerator leaking, you mean inside, right?, is a big pain. I can't get the new one since it is on backorder right now due to the pandemic. I hope there was a bag of ice in the freezer for your use. The pullout couch above the garage has a broken frame? We didn't know this so it must be a recent problem. I will check it out right away and fix it. I wish you had reached out to me sooner so I could have adjusted the price or tried to share ideas on how to get past these problems. This is my first less than 5 star review so my apologies to all of you. I hope you all made some good memories that will outshine these bad ones. Thank you for the information. Joan

Quiet and Relaxing

If you’re looking for a nice quiet place to get away, this is absolutely it.

Hallieford House on the Creek
Publié le 5 août 2020 sur HomeAwayOur family group enjoyed our relaxing stay on Queen's Creek. The house is absolutely beautiful and very clean with a well-thought-out layout. The kids had their own wing of the house in the area above the garage. The owners were very thoughtful to provide special touches like s'mores ingredients for the fire pit and soaps and shampoos for all of the bathrooms.

Jennifer and her family and friends were perfect guests! They communicated well and left the house clean and tidy. I would welcome them back again. We were impressed with their willingness to help us out with securing some items before a hurricane was coming and before we could get there to do it ourselves. Their extra effort and willingness to help were greatly appreciated.
