Our sincere thanks James for your appreciative review. Certainly a cosy place with our ducted heating especially when it's bleak outside. The wallabies are regular visitors to our garden, hoping for a nibble.

Publié le 20 juin 2024 sur HomeAwayThe property was very comfortably and the location was fabulous ,overlooking the bay. All in all our stay was wonderful, but we had reason to have dealings with the owner. He proved to be very difficult to deal with.

Thank you for your positive comments and understanding re our fan unit (the culprit that caused the issue for you was a mouse found unresponsive on the control board – replaced under warranty).

Superb beach/bush stay
Publié le 25 mai 2024 sur HomeAwayWe had 10 days at Vivonne which allowed us to enjoy many of the amazing vistas and places on KI within a reasonable driving distance. An additional bonus staying at this place was the great variety of bird life we saw, it was a a real treat.

Immersed in nature--fantastic vistas and wildlife
Publié le 11 févr. 2024 sur HomeAwayIf you enjoy nature and wildlife: this is it! My daughter (20) and I spent three nights here in February. Ian provided helpful area information in advance. The BEST (in addition to the ocean view and walks on the beach) was the wildlife: various types of birds splashing in the plate of water on the deck and a "mob" of Tammar Wallabies who greeted us each morning and evening. Precious.

Thank you Erika for your lovely comments. The endless stream of wildlife is certainly a highlight of staying at Ocean View. The large terracotta saucer that we have placed on the deck is for families of silvereyes (white eye rings) - they love the water. Also visited by perky fairywrens (male is blue) and honeyeaters.
Glad to hear the wallabies are still on the payroll. You have some great memories to take home to the US.

False advertising/statement regarding facilities
Publié le 7 févr. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe paid the full Non refundable cost only to be advised by the owner that there is NO Spa Whirlpool or Hot tub as advertised. He also added sarcastically that there was no Gymnasium!! That the main reason we booked this property.
There was not even a Bath in the Shower room/Laundry.
Hot water tap in Shower was faulty and not fixed.
No Shampoo provided, no additional rubbish bags, mattress uncomfortable, old uncomfortable Lounge chairs, old damaged rug, mouldy outdoor setting, only 3 beach towels for 4 people, no books to read.

We are bewildered Min Min by your odd comments and assume there has been a mix-up since we don’t offer a spa, hot tub or bath. Such facilities are inconceivable in Vivonne Bay where every house is dependent on limited rainwater collection. When you sent consecutive messages asking us to provide details and photos of non-existent facilities we thought you were teasing.
Re the shower. Our expert handyman who services multiple properties in Vivonne Bay came over promptly when you complained and investigated after your departure and could not find a fault (nor have subsequent guests).
As for our queen beds these are even more comfortable after we fitted premium Ardor 2,000gsm High Loft mattress toppers 8 months ago.
Per our listing we don’t provide shampoo or books to read (unchecked on website). We consider books unnecessary clutter with many other entertainment options at Ocean View including unlimited WiFi Internet and our Foxtel subscription, along with activities that take advantage of our beautiful location.
We hope you appreciated our newly installed Miele kitchen appliances as well as the panoramic view and visiting wildlife.
Lastly we apologize again that we could not extend your reservation per your request and understand your disappointment but as explained we had guests arriving the day you checked out (and incidentally who sent an appreciative text this morning stating “We had a lovely time and the wallaby family was a huge hit!”).
